I follow Jimena too!!! I love the final cup but I love even more to witness your process. I've been exploring oil painting recently and I had to repeat each studio three or four times to get it right. So it's refreshing to witness the real process of others. The struggle is real!

I totally agree with you about Jimena Reno's channel, artwork and vibe. I don't know if tagging works in TH-cam, but it might be worth trying, because she should definitely see this. I think either FranNerd or ChloeRoseArt said they struggle with circles and ovals, so you're not alone. Luckily for me in digital there's the oval tool. My favorite stage of this painting was at 05:24, with all the lovely accents and details, even though the cup wasn't geometrically perfect, but it was fun to watch as you worked through your toughest issue and got the cup where you wanted it, and in the end, it turned out great!!

I know we are supposed to talk about values and not colour. I think your colours of the tea itself and the cup are spot on. Love it.
Nothing's wrong with talking about colour, once value isn't neglected in its place. Colour can be such a wonderful aspect of a painting.

Oh my gosh! This is so funny... I'm also practicing drawing and painting tea cups RIGHT NOW! I actually bought this book called: 50 WAYS TO DRAW YOUR BEAUTIFUL ORDINARY LIFE, from the bookstore from the bargain shelf and the very first lesson was drawing teacups! I think the book is written for a younger person... but it's fun fun fun! And I'm terrible at drawing! So it's great for me. But I just thought it was funny your video is of a teacup!😝🥰😍I think your painting is GREAT! I love your channel! And it's so peaceful on top of being informative!

How do you clean your color palette so easily? It's impossible to me ToT
I scrape it with a razor :) If it's acrylic paint, I'll spray it down with water to help loosen it up. I hope that helps!

The palette is a glass palette and I use a razor to scrape the paint off the paint. My art supplies are linked in the description box if you want to have a look at those items 😊

I have a question, why all the artists online (instagram , youtube etc) draw the same things, like cups, cakes etc? I have also noticed they use the same techniques and they look very similar to me... Btw, you are very talented, no doubt to that!!
Hmmm there’s artists with all different types of styles so maybe you’ve just been surrounding yourself with artists with a certain type of style :) nothing wrong with that! maybe that’s your favorite type of art style? I follow all different kinds of artists despite the style that I use because they all inspire me in different ways and it also feels good to look at different types of art. I feel that it keeps the eyes fresh ✨ I hope this helped ☺️

I think it would be more useful if you put the cup on the table and drew from life, to improve your weakness. I doubt if drawing with grid will help you with that.
