I was routing for Belal, but doubted that he was going to win, especially after some of the trash talk antics added more pressure and raised the stakes. Was totally amazed by his performance. He rag-dolled Leon. The one takedown where he dropped Leon on his head was crazy. It resembled DC rag-dolling Dan Henderson. Really happy for Belal, looking forward to the title defense against Shavkat.

belal wanted it more than leon, he was willing to walk on fire where leon i give up edwards wasn't willing to dig that deep for the win. leon wasn't even defending the takedowns, leon just let belal take him down at will. leon fought like a top 15 fighter, just a pathetic performance. for a champion, leon lacks the warrior heart, grit and determination like usman and poatan but i do believe leon had skills to defeat belal just lacks the confidence in himself

    • @jakeegan9261

You don't understand Leon. People were saying the same thing about him at round 5 in the first fight against usman, until he pulled off the head kick in the last minute. That's just how he fights. He's stoic and patient. He doesn't lack heart at all, the opposite. Leon lost on score cards against Belal, but if the fight was longer, I'd say he's more likely to get the finish.

Fasting makes you extremely weak, especially as you get closer to the end days (toward 30). The first few days isn’t so bad but after about 10-15 days, you body uses up your stored fats and it makes it extremely difficult, let alone fight for your life in the ring.
