Gator vs. The Radiance (Hollow Knight)

*Endgame Spoilers*
My skillset is not being a pro-gamer. It's being stubborn enough to try for hours on end over multiple days.
The Radiance is one of the hardest boss battles I've ever pulled off (second only to maybe the Queen Valkyrie in 'God of War').
In my opinion, the Radiance is the "true" final boss of Hollow Knight. In the lore, the Hollow Knight was condemned to contain the Radiance inside itself for eternity. In the standard ending of the game, you defeat the Hollow Knight, and take his place, containing the Radiance once more by sacrificing yourself to keep the world safe. The Radiance is a god of source, and cannot be killed in the physical world. In this ending, you enter the dream realm, and you fight the Radiance itself.
Reaching the Radiance
To reach the Radiance, you have to:
1) Fully upgrade the Dream Nail, and
2) Have the Void Heart charm equipped.
If you have done so, then when you fight the Hollow Knight, Hornet will join the fight near its end, and pin the Hollow Knight. This gives you the opportunity to use the dream nail on him, and be transported to the Radiance's home inside the dream realm.
How to Acquire the Void Heart charm:
This happens in several stages, which I've copied from the Hollow Knight wiki page:
1. Obtain the two halves of the Kingsoul charm:
"Acquisition: This charm is obtained from two different places, the first half of the charm is given by The White Lady in Queen's Gardens, while the second half is looted off from The Pale King's body right after clearing out the White Palace. Once you've collected both sides of the charm, it will automatically change into the Kingsoul and will be ready to be equipped."
2. Fully upgrade the Dream Nail to its "awoken" level.
3. Visit the "Birthplace"
"Acquisition: To obtain this charm, first, you will need to acquire and equip the Kingsoul charm to open the entrance of Birthplace that is located underneath The Abyss. Once you've made your way inside the room, walk towards the end where you will find an egg. Hit the egg using the Awoken Dream Nail to reveal the memories of The Knight (you) and for the Kingsoul charm to transform into the Void Heart."
