Great Video, as always, Khun Voranai! Thailand is ruled by those who never can get enough, and by changing the political system to a democracy the money flow to their pockets would be disturbed, because in a normal fair society with normal fair market conditions they simple would not be competitive. Their whole wealth and economic "success" is based on Mafia-like methods, but not on competitive business ideas. They will never step back if not forced to.

One major difference for South Korea was still now every man needs to serve Military if there's another movement of military directorship the citizens and soldiers themselves were not willing to help and follow their orders All the generals of S.Korea knew at that point in 1987 but still ex military general took the spot until 1992 so Kim young sam in 1993 was the first real president who got elected from the citizens
There is still a lot of room for improvement in South Korea. I would not call South Korea a giant just yet.
