Looks very nice and the brief opera offering was great to hear. Thank you.

I was in the this lounge a few days ago. I flew with a first class ticket from bangkok to doha and I had a business class ticket to Madrid. Event though, my next flight was business they let me in ( I was very happy as I had a 14 hours waiting time )

Great video. This brings back so many great memories. We paid for access on our way from Adelaide to London just before covid. Good value. Staff were amazing and took us straight to a wonderful double room (we didn't know they existed). Total wow factor with the design, and there were only a handful of other guests. Just great for a longer layover and better than Emirates First in Dubai in terms of comfort. As you say, Emirates are better on food and wine. Both are fantastic experiences, and so grateful to have tried both.

That sounds wonderful! What a beautiful memory! 😊
Have a look around my channel, there's also reports on both Emirates First and Business Class Lounges in Dubai, within a while series on Emirates and Dubai. And much more. Great to have you on board! 😊

@@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition Absolutely; I view all your videos. You have a very British sense of humour, at least in your English ones! I liked Dubai, but wow tey are big and impersonal. But the wine, oh the wine; it is like a treasure trove. Silly to judge an airline on its wine but hey ho.

A lounge like that would make a long layover a pleasant experience. Well presented as always and frank comments for the airline. Look forward to more.

    My dream lounge.
So far the best lounge I've visited was Cathay Pacific in London.

Cathay Pacific is great if course. The First Class Lounge in Hongkong is amazing - they still need to get fully working again, then it'll be a fantastic airline again. If China doesn't start a war with Taiwan....

Great video. One point though. Qatar platinum members can access Al Safwa regardless if they are travelling on First or not as long as they are travelling on Qatar metal and in a minimum of Business (yes, even Business Lite.) This can also be ticketed by other OW airlines such as AA or BA but must be on Qatar metal. I've used it loads of times without being booked in First. And you can also bring up to two guests.

I think that has changed, now that a new, dedicated Platinum lounge is available. But these rules change quite often anyway.....

From the official rules of British Airways lounge access: "Al Safwa First Lounge is available to Qatar Airways and oneworld First Class ticketed customers. Guests are not permitted."
      So, yes.

Hi i am a newly silver member so am i eligible with al safwa lounge?

Hi! Thank you for reaching out! I hope you like all the content on this channel.
Access to Al Safwa Lounge is very restricted. Even customers with Platinum status can only access it they have at least a business class ticket to get access. I thought I talked about the access rules in the video but maybe I missed that point. If you're flying on a business class ticket, you can access for a few of 600 QAR (150US$) which I don't think it's worth it.
With Qatar silver status there's another lounge, called the Silver Lounge - South.

would you pay for access if you where flying business?

    • @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition
      @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition  ปีที่แล้ว

Hi! I think I talk about it in the video or under the video.... I would say it depends: if you're staying for many hours and overnight, it might be really worthwhile as their private bedrooms are very good - as you can see in the video.
Just for getting in, eating and leaving: No.

Thank you for this video very informative. I'm flying first Doha to Perth later this year, and I was wondering - what's the maximum time before your flight are you allowed to get into the lounge?
My flight leaves at 2am so wanting to get a room for a nap hours beforehand if I can..

Hi! Thank you for this nice feedback! Please spread the word ❤️
If you arrive from another city, to continue on to Doha, your allowed from your arriving flight until the connecting flight. I think the lounge's website says it's 4 hours, but I'm pretty sure it's more even if your starting out of Doha. Only important: go directly to the reception for the bedrooms when you arrive at the lounge as there's often quite a long waiting time

Hi. We’re flying KL - London via Doha and layover time is 2 hours on a business class. Was wondering if we are allowed to access the Al Safwa lounge?
