LOVE STEVE-O'S WILD RIDE! I blade and I respect the hella outta Danny. He was never for the beef. Aggressive inline is what I'am best at, but back in the day I used to ride dirt DMX and flatland skateboard. I'm 31 and back in 2000 it was all about GOING BIG OR GOING HOME. The legends in each of the big 3 disciplines (blades, boards, bikes) were pushing thing to the limits and it was flat out dangerous to compete for the podium. These guys are awesome, and very inspirational. I’m 38, and they even have a few years on myself, but they look and feel younger ( in a great way) than I feel. I feel like my body is starting to fall apart, and I lost that desire to go outside and jet ski, or bike. Also, I feel like life stopped and all I do is think about the good old days. Either I stay up too late, or it’s depression, either way it sucks. Steve-o shows me consistently that life can continue to be a fun adventure, even while aging. Thanks for what you do man.

To all the critics: Steve O is just trying to keep the conversation moving. Danny is a very humble guy. When you ask somebody a question like "Danny do you have a favorite photo out of all the years?" (at 58:17) and their answer is "Uh, ah, you know, I don't know. There's some cool ones..." you have to so something.
@@patrickcross771 There's certainly a lot of people in the comments critiquing if you read them. No hate, just people saying he should let Danny tell his stories instead of doing it for him. Honestly, I prefer Steve-O talking a lot and giving his recollection of the stories. Would be nice to not cut people off as much, but if it came down to The guest talking more and Steve-O barely talking vs the other way around, I'd rather Steve-O talk a lot. It's Steve-O's Wild Ride. I have a buddy who’s 60 and is still skating. I asked him, “what’s the best thing you’ve ever gotten from skateboarding?” And he said, “ tenacity and recovery from bad situations… man I know how to fall better than all my friends the same age”
In 1988/89 (?), I rode in my brother's friends dads van with the gang from Long Beach to Carlsbad, to skate Mike McGill's skatepark. Upland pipeline had closed and Mike's park was three different ramps: he had a vert ramp that was 12 ft with over a foot and a half of vert and a 20 ft wide 7 ft ditch ramp that was perpendicular to another 4 ft ramp with spine. I remember the first person I saw skating every one of those ramps was a 15-year-old Danny Way. I'll never forget how he backside aired from the 7 ft ditch ramp into the four foot mini ramp!! Huge gap. And then he was throwing everything at the vert ramp too, like big fakie ollie's, 540s, tailslide reverts, sick ripper. I think Danny Way represented that group of skaters that was taking things to the next level on vert. And I remember the white, black, and red airwalk prototype shoes with the leather shoelace protector he was rocking that day. Yep, Danny Way was the biggest little ripper alongside Bucky lasek on Powell in those days. We had a ditch ramp in our backyard but it was only 6 ft and had way more mellow transition than the 7 ft ramp. The ramp in Brea had the same type of transitions and it was almost like an in-between type ramp that didn't go to vert and wasn't quite as chill as the ditch ramps around, like Scoots ramp or the ramps they built for the CASL contests they started having with mini ramps. Who's out there from SoCal that was at Brea ramp and Scoots ramp back then???? Scoot beat me out for second place at the first ever CASL mini ramp contest!!!! And learned backside smiths on vert before me, he was my Nemesis back then!!!!
Danny Way is a straight up legend he is one of my hero’s too and it was awesome to see SteveO paying Danny so much respect and SteveOs skateboard knowledge is quite impressive. Respect

I’ve been binge watching so many of your podcasts over the last two week and I had to watch this one after hearing the way you’ve been talking about it in so many other podcasts. It breaks my heart to hear that you were now sad about a conversation you have with someone you genuinely admire. I’m still trying to figure out why people were really upset about it. I guess if you were a strict professional reporter Danny should have told the stories. But we’re here watching your podcast! So as I’m listening to it I had to say this is one of my absolutely favorite so far. The amount I’ve learned about Danny Way who I knew so little about before, and I now know is an incredible person. All because Steve-O was passionately telling us about someone he clearly genuinely admired! This was a great conversation. As every other one I’ve gotten to watch so far. Keep being great! Thank you!!
Steve O if you're ever in Mississippi with that van, I'd love to be the Joe Dirt of your podcast and tell my life story with all my struggles with overcoming addiction and trying to be a good father. I'm 27 but like you I've lived a lot of life in those 27 years and I think you'd be surprised by how much you've changed my life and many other lives for the better. You are one of my heroes. I thank you, Theo Von, and Jordan Peterson (mainly you) for helping me find the courage to take on my addiction. Everyday can be a struggle but your content helps me get through so I can provide a better life for my wife and daughter. Please keep up the good work! 🤙🏼

Hey Steve, just found your 3 channels last week and am loving the content! Keep up the fantastic work bro 👌🏻 👍🏻 👏🏻 I feel like you, Scott/Paul, and your guests all have a lot of great/funny things to say! You should make the podcasts longer so that you can all get your great questions/answers/stories in. Your perspective is super interesting, but I do think you should give the guest the opportunity to tell their own story. But after, you give your backstory/perspective about what they said! Love you dude, keep up the great pods! For sure have Danny, Pontius, Bam, and more Jackass guys back on for several episodes!

Steve-O. I love you and have since I first saw you on jackass so many years ago. It pains me to say this and please know that I do with the utmost respect to you. I have loved Danny Way for many years too. I know that you are kinda like a superfan of Danny's and it's obvious that you're very excited to be talking with him and about him but I wish I had been able to hear, from his own mouth, some of his answers to the questions. I am not going to ever stop watching your stuff (I watch everything you put up), and I hope that I haven't hurt your feelings because I am not trying to. I just wanted to mention as a fan of both of you that I would have liked to hear Danny talk more. Said with lots of love 💜
Steve O. Just be you brother. What all these people are criticizing you for is what made you who you are. A energetic, loud, at times seems like it your face guy. But that's why they keep tuning in every new episode. Because how rad you are. Yeah dude. I've seen probably all the footage you have released over the years. Hands down my favourite guy in jackass. And honestly my idol ( I've got laughted at for saying that) you if anyone showed me set a goal stick to it and it will happen. Anything you said you would do you've done and proved the mass wrong. Yeah dude would love to meet you one day just to shake your hand. Peace and love brother.

Love these podcast Steve, So happy you started doing them with some gnarly people!!!
Thank you!!
Danny Way did some amazing stuff. So epic.
The Legend Danny Way , excellent show Steve - O 👍✌
This was awesome and informative I was born in 79 so to hear all the skate history was awesome I grew up in that time period and was a huge fan of skateboarding so great interview
steve-o always explains his guest’s life story for them lmao
Danny way has and will be one of my favorite skaters! Such a humble guy!
It was really nice to see Danny Way have Steve-O on his podcast. 🤦♂️
Point in case 19:27
love how d way is just smiling the WHOLE time
Hey Steve, just found your 3 channels last week and am loving the content!
Damn Steve-O! I'm crawling the wall on this one . I'm like just let Danny talk 🤣 WTF! all in all "DANNY F**K'in WAY straight LEGEND" 🤘🏼 & Steve-O I Love the Podcast and all the other Content you've been putting out . I see all the hard work you put into everything and tweaking things to be better . All respect to you and your Team . Yeah Dude! ❤❤❤
Danny has earned that $12 million net worth!! I am 54 and have been following him since birth. A real LEGEND.
Steve-O thank you for all you do! For real..Thank you for being involved with your audience and expressing your appreciation, you'll never know how much it means to us, we feel included
No way!! Danny way hahaha! He's my hero! Big love Steve-O!! Keep up the great casting =]]]
Proud to be 1973 92 grad watching a lost will to survive amongst my peers. We second wind these new kids. Rattlesnake bite try’s daily, but you my friends inspire me to keep dreaming.

Also saw Danny in Public Domain for the first time and was blown away. Loved the cab to nose pick in that one!
Btw you're an inspiration, im in recovery myself! Im an opiate addict and right now im in subooxne treatment. It has helped but wannna get off it soon...but been clean from everything else for a year
I love you Steve O
Danny jumping the boarder wall for those reasons is amazing. No politics. We’re working together to accomplish something. How cool is that?!
1 hour of Steve O talking about Danny. And 21 minutes of Danny talking. Somehow still a great episode! Would like to hear more from Danny. Let's see part 2! I did enjoy seeing Steve's man crush though
You have had an amazing life, we were there for it
This is the time to interview. We are here for that too
No one is hating one you man. We love you. Just giving some constructive criticism
Great great mutual respect and some gnarly stories! This has to be one of the top 3 if not the best🤙🏽 yeaaaa dude!!
Really enjoying the podcast Steve-O. Cheers!
dude this is classic a fan interviewing a fan! I really like this one!
Dope episode
Danny Way this was an awesome podcast
I met Steaven O at that trade show . He asked me for a cigarette for a backflip , so gave him one , he did a backflip and landed on his knees . I was stoned out of my mind a thought what a freak. It was rad
Dude I'm a black 31 year old dude from the Detroit... This, regardless of that is amazing. I grew up watching these guys. Legendary mode SteveO. F'n legendary 🤙🤙
Lord Hinton Right on man, I’m a 38 year old bald white dude from California. I grew up with these guys too. Pretty cool that we grew up during this epic scene, huh ?!
@@bugnut82 it's unbelievable. I feel like we are part of the history bro🤙🤙
@@lordhinton3394 Hell yeah dude! We sure are
Awesome interview, I had heard of Danny but had no idea how much of a badass he is. Definitely needs a movie about his life!
And kudos to You Steve-O for still cranking out vids while convalescing from yr latest endeavors. Content Warrior. It is appreciated!
Thank you so much!
Steve-o: "Hello everyone and w-"
Me as a disappointed parent: "What happened..." *crosses arms*
D Way all the way! Inspiration of Life, top athlete and à gladiator! Thank you!
Love you Steve-o !
I'm so late to this one, but Steve is so stoked it kinda reminds me of a little kid. Like a kid holding a batman action figure, meeting batman, and telling batman about all the cool stuff he did on TV 😂😂
I love Steve Os relationship with that pup he saved from the streets
