The song itself is about forging your own road, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from the British power metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song and played on the recording for the studio album version. On the question of compilations v full live, I agree with Chris Harris. I'm really happy you enjoyed this and well spotted noticing that there is a bit less red in their costumes each time as the girls get older. Compilation videos serve their purpose, but for a first reaction they lose aspects of continuity, most notably in the choreography, but also with all the costume changes, hopping about from one stage to another with the different lighting and, although you do get to see a lot of different crowds, as Chris Harris said, you really can't beat how they build up the relationship with the crowd in a single show and seeing how that works within the single performance of whatever song it is you are watching and hearing. If you are enjoying whatever video you are watching then it is all good, that is what really matters ... but fortunately you haven't come across one of the really poorly edited compilations yet and I hope you will realise in time if that does happen and move on to a better version, but as it will be the first time you've seen the song the chances are you won't realise. That is why I'm inclined to steer you away from compilation videos. Live performances from Legend 1997, Budokan Black night and some earlier shows are usually safe. For and concerts since about 2015 and the more recent shows and concerts The Babymetal Reactor Resource is the best place to find the videos.
Amazing reaction as always! Compilations are good to not get blocked, but they usually cut some choreography or shenanigans between the girls. However the important thing is that you have fun! 🦊🤘

The fans are cool though, and they're just having fun, not trying to kill each other in the pit. BABYMETAL believe that if a song sounds too much like one genre, then it's not a BABYMETAL song. You can definitely feel the speed metal component in this one though. Herman Li and Sam Totman of DragonForce contributed guitar tracks for the studio version of this song. BABYMETAL have shared the stage with DragonForce a couple of times, including a performance of this song at the Golden Gods Awards show in 2015. That was the same year that BABYMETAL won the Breakthrough! award.
Great reaction. For a compilation video, this is one of the better edited ones. The official "Road of Resistance Live in Japan" is the epitomous performance to react to. 6 minutes of audience participation that does not get old!
I was Hopping that she selected the Live in japan version, in my opinion Is the Best to showcase Both YUI´s and MOA´s dance skills and Su´s Vocal power, plus, the camera angles are SUPERB.
An other fun fact: you talk about the energy of this song/performances, but this pretty much always the last song of the set ! Which says a lot about the girls and the audience. :-)
Simple tip for the channel you got this video from: those are pretty much all compilations, in the description it also lists which shows it's a compilation from. This compilation doesn't show the choreography as well which is to bad. As we don't get a lot of people who react with extensive dancing experience. That one performance where they were sweating as much was at a venue which was very warm. When it comes to dedication, let me put it this way: Moametal in 2014 ones even got brought to the hospital in an ambulance after the show because of exhaustion a venue after the AC system failed during the show.

I have watched all of your Babymetal reactions that are public on TH-cam and enjoyed them. I wanted to leave any comments until after that. It is interesting to see a dancer reacting to Babymetal. So far I have only seen singers / voice teachers or musicians and one rodie react and I have watched many reactors. You said you have 15 years of dancing experience I would like to hear more of you talking about the dancing, as there are no other dancing reactors that I hasve seen out there. What you do of course is up to you but I think the fresh perspective of an actual dancer would be welcome.
Maybe its time you do a reaction video of a "Babymetal Guide". There are videos of that here in youtube where it outlines the beginnings of our wonderful metal girls (ladies now). From being just a subgroup of their idol group "Sakura Gakuin", to where they are now. Kitsune up Ms Venice! 🦊 BTW, you noticed that their outfits are correlated with their age. As they grow up, they lose the red and gain more black 😺

Wish You had picked the Live at Japan Version, which is the Best Version to Showcase the Choreography and SU´s Voice, plus the Audience response in that one was AWESOME. I recommend You to check the viewers "Recommendations" for reaction, since we know which ones have the best quality.
The main reason I dislike compilations is that each time the girls perform they put on a unique performance which they craft with the audience that night and the fan made compilations lose that uniqueness, they are ok and it is interesting to see a lot of different shows and costumes etc but to me they don’t retain the element that makes them special, however it is still cool watching you discover this amazing band and I look forward to seeing more
Yeah, but you dont consider a reactor's time and effort of getting thier videos blocked cuz a full performance is from a DVD and Amuse dont go for that most of the time.
Unless it's themed like a first to latest performance complation , as you said lot of things that make certain performances special are lost . Like Road of Resistance live in Japan at Saitama Super Arena the definitive version in my opinion 😁🤘🦊

Compilation are best when you are already familiar with babymetal, when and where the shoot taken, the story and the context behind it, lets just say it for reminiscence. But for first tine reaction, it can throw you in a loop and ruining the experience, cause there is so much to unpack from a band like this
Most fans don't really like compilation vids, mostly because some aren't well done. But I do like compilation vids, because it lets you see how epic Babymetal concerts are, and how into it the fans are... From the call and response, to the whole arena jumping and dancing with the girls.... So fun.😁😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
You mentioned about how professional these little ladies are, and you couldn't be more correct. They truly are professionals. There was one instance where they just started one of their longest songs, "Ijime,Dame,Zettai", where during their dance, Moa twisted her ankle during a dancestep. It hurt her REALLY badly, but she pushed through the entire song, dancing and singing, tears pouring down her face and her putting on a brave face because she didn't want to disappoint the fans. That same concert (they were cursed that day), while they were performing one of their songs (I forgot which song it was, Headbanger maybe, somebody will mention it I'm sure), while Yui and Moa were pumping up the crowd, Yui fell off the edge of the stage and disappeared for the rest of the song. You also didn't hear her voice anymore where she would normally say something during the crowd pumping moments. Once again, the girls pushed through the song, and then next song, Yui was back again. Time and time again, these girls show how amazing and dedicated they are to their fans. Their fans know it too, and we are very dedicated to them in return as well.
@@venicerealm As Jeremy said they pushed through and kept going. They still have fun occasionally and Moa particularly does get up to a bit of mischief from time to time but they always stay professional. As you watch more live shows you will see more things happening such as Moa's very occasional mischief and you can also see the Kami band having a great time to, without missing a beat.
When they first started, their outfit were borrowed clothes, not even real outfits (see in their Doki Doki Morning MV - their very first MV), then they got that gothic-lolita style outfit in their early headline solo shows (those are outfits in the Headbanger MV), and overtime, their outfits getting more and more 'Metal' like those red tutus+black+armor-like chest and shoulder pads, there's a time in their 'Dark Era' they changed to something completely badass like Amazon warrior dresses, abandon the Kawaii elements... And finally in the Metal Galaxy era, they wore those black battle dresses like you see in this compilation - which still retain the kawaii elements but look so much more mature and cool. Their lastest outfit can be seen in their 'The One - Stair Way to Living Legend' video - are more refined version of their Metal Galaxy black dresses, those like work of art with chrome color and a lot of over the top details
I believe it worth noting that this particular compilation is good as far as compilations go. At least it is synced to the performances properly and the crowd shots are epic. "ROAD OF RESISTANCE, Live in Japan (OFFICIAL)", is considered by many to be the ultimate "live" version. Of course it is my opinion that they all, mostly, bear watching at some point. Kitsune dao!
Some of the compilations have merit, for example, the "fan" compilation of Shanti, Shanti, Shanti showcases the girls fantastic Bollywood Dance routine, while the "official version" focuses on "special effects". In this case though, the "Official" version of Road of Resistance is epic, in the top three BA vids I would say and the mash-up here lacks continuity. For your own benifit, at some point you should watch the official "long" version.
Compilations are not likely to get blocked. That makes them good for reactions. For some songs, there is one video that stands out. Road of Resistance is one of them. The live performance used for the official video is so good, no compilation can match that. By not watching that one, you missed the best portion of the singalong part. You talked about the girls being older because their cheeks changed. Here is what I think happened: You had a picture of Yui on your mind, saw Moa and thought the difference were because of the girls' being older. Yui and Moa look very different.
But Moa's appearance especially has changed significantly as she has matured. She is thinner and more muscular and she just generally looks older and more mature (and very beautiful).

I'm not a huge fan of compilations and this particular one is not so good... specially compared with the real live performance from the "New Year Fox Festival" in 2015 (it's on their official channel under the name "BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL)". I believe you should take a look, it's just epic :) On the other hand, it's less likely your videos get blocked... but you deserve to watch and experience the best performances possible, without distractions by stage, costume or even members changes and avoiding bad fan-made edits. So mainly because the constant changes distract and break the flow of the choreo and the performance in general. I would only recommend few compilations without any of these issues. For example, from concerts at the same or very similar stage setup like Budokan 2021 and Yokohama + Nagoya + LA in 2019. But this in particular has nothing to do against the Legend 2015 real performance.
@Road Runner respect your reply but disagree. These “shortcomings” that you list are in my opinion due to personal preferences on your part and are negated by the obvious awe and wonderment that new reactors feel when reacting to kurokiitsunama’s Headbanger and this (also Kurokiitsunama). You cannot tell me that it does not make the reactor excited to see more because they are blown away by the energy that these bring. I never want compilations to be a sole source of reactor viewings but I am more concerned about having a novice reactor see how legitimate these girls are by the crowds and the venues rather than “purist” concerns. If the reactor is excited to watch more then they will eventually learn the details that so many anti-compilation fans desire. But if they are not inspired to continue then it matters not. And I have seen many a reactor fall by the wayside because people recommend tge MV’s Doki Doki Morning, iine and BMD or solo’s too early in their experience. Just my opinion sir, and I honestly thank you for yours.
You are just one of many reactors who by their reactions show why compilations (certain ones) are great as you actually see the different venues and the amazing crowds that are always present. It also shows that the girls and The Kami’s give it their all for every show. As long as you know that they are compilations going in then you are good. For example the best BxMXC LIVE performance (in my opinion) is a compilation (you can either go with the one from kurokiitsunama or SYNCO (both are great). Compilations from Kurokiitsunama or Ferr are always great quality.
The only real alternative to the compilation videos is the library from Babymetal Reactors Resource. That is a great source but the draw back is the logo. It's fine for us fans who have seen the videos a billion times aleady but, I'm willing to bet at least half the Reactors watch the logo version and all first time Babymetal viewers the Reactor may bring along are watching that logo version. They are not getting the full impact anyway. Its better they see the comp videos than a logo. Besides, I get tired of seeing the same video and same performance from every song being reacted to over and over and over again.

Yui memang dinobatkan oleh banyak fans sebagai icon babymetal, dan ROR memang lagu favorit Yui. Semenjak dia keluar saya ga lagi fans grup ini karena bagi saya ga ada BM kalo ga ada Yui, lagipula setelah dia keluar grup ini sudah kehilangan aura cute nya, lagu2nya dan musik2nya juga sudah jauh dari kata fun, termasuk digunakannya west kami sebagai default stage musicians sangat jauh dibandingkan eastern kami yang selalu ketawa senyum dan fun sepanjang setiap penampilan. Now on to other things: The Warning has been on tour all summer everywhere and they have so much live content to review including the album Error which dropped a couple of weeks ago. Side note: I'm not a big fan of modern radicle feminism...I believe it nocks and mocks men instead impowering women. Nice reaction. I would normally tell reactors to stay away from compilations because it tends to get confusing for them. You caught it early enough not to be thrown for a loop by it. Babymetal So we're just going to walk out with the flags and then what? Count off and all hell breaks loose. Oh ok 1234 right into the horse-riding stance. Away they go down the Road of Resistance. A musical masterpiece as well complete with ridiculous amounts of audience participation. They did an extended ending with a key change. And the part everyone at a Babymetal concert waits for the "We Are, Babymetal" which was cut off here. That also means it's the end of the concert. That's the only time they do that part. They say it because the fans are part of Babymetal. As in One with the band. And that's why the fans of Babymetal are called the ONE. Babymetal does a lot of cardio training. When Yui left and they started using the avengers (3 dancers) to fill in her spot. At a festival they did you can clearly see the after the song the avenger is breathing heavy, while Su and Moa are as calm as can be. Pros pro. But it wasn't always like that. At one festival they had to take an extended break between songs as Moa started to overheat. She was still young and small back then. When asked if you could go back and talk to your younger self what would you say? Moa said make sure you warmup first. Words of true Wisdom. You're ready for the everything you want to know about Babymetal guide. Look for Cryptics guide on youtube. That way you can have all their back story and we can just talk about the performances. Which is a lot on its own. The guide will also play clips of some songs you haven't heard yet. don't worry about that. It will just give you ideas of which songs you will want to do next by them. I think for reaction purposes, this compilation is justifiable, as the official version from their channel (the one that sweeps everything away) is probably one of the most blocked videos here on YT. So, I can only recommend you, for real goosebumps, definitely check out that one (Video ID: "zTEYUFgLveY"). You should try being a little more expressive in your reactions. I can hardly tell if you're enjoying yourself. 🤣 Don't worry about this being a compilation. I'm not a fan of all the bellyaching about compilation videos anyway. While there is nothing wrong with the official videos and pro-shots and I think you should watch them, these comps let you see all the highlights of different concerts. You see elements of the performances you wouldn't see from just one concert. The main thing is, you obviously had a lot of fun watching it but there will be grumbling that will take away from the experience. If you happen to stumble upon a badly made compilation video, I trust you are smart enough to realize it and go for another video.

Wish You had picked the Live at Japan Version, which is the Best Version to Showcase the Choreography and SU´s Voice, plus the Audience response in that one was AWESOME. I recommend You to check the viewers "Recommendations" for reaction, since we know which ones have the best quality.
The main reason I dislike compilations is that each time the girls perform they put on a unique performance which they craft with the audience that night and the fan made compilations lose that uniqueness, they are ok and it is interesting to see a lot of different shows and costumes etc but to me they don’t retain the element that makes them special, however it is still cool watching you discover this amazing band and I look forward to seeing more

Yeah, but you dont consider a reactor's time and effort of getting thier videos blocked cuz a full performance is from a DVD and Amuse dont go for that most of the time.
Unless it's themed like a first to latest performance complation , as you said lot of things that make certain performances special are lost .

Compilation are best when you are already familiar with babymetal, when and where the shoot taken, the story and the context behind it, lets just say it for reminiscence.
But for first tine reaction, it can throw you in a loop and ruining the experience, cause there is so much to unpack from a band like this
I suspect many fans, like myself, aren't crazy about compilations that mix Yui and Avengers eras. Ultimately, that's our problem to deal with, though.

Most fans don't really like compilation vids, mostly because some aren't well done. But I do like compilation vids, because it lets you see how epic Babymetal concerts are, and how into it the fans are... From the call and response, to the whole arena jumping and dancing with the girls.... So fun.😁😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
You mentioned about how professional these little ladies are, and you couldn't be more correct. They truly are professionals. There was one instance where they just started one of their longest songs, "Ijime,Dame,Zettai", where during their dance, Moa twisted her ankle during a dancestep. It hurt her REALLY badly, but she pushed through the entire song, dancing and singing, tears pouring down her face and her putting on a brave face because she didn't want to disappoint the fans. That same concert (they were cursed that day), while they were performing one of their songs (I forgot which song it was, Headbanger maybe, somebody will mention it I'm sure), while Yui and Moa were pumping up the crowd, Yui fell off the edge of the stage and disappeared for the rest of the song. You also didn't hear her voice anymore where she would normally say something during the crowd pumping moments. Once again, the girls pushed through the song, and then next song, Yui was back again. Time and time again, these girls show how amazing and dedicated they are to their fans. Their fans know it too, and we are very dedicated to them in return as well.
oh no so many sad times I hope there wont be anymore like that for them
@@venicerealm As Jeremy said they pushed through and kept going. They still have fun occasionally and Moa particularly does get up to a bit of mischief from time to time but they always stay professional. As you watch more live shows you will see more things happening such as Moa's very occasional mischief and you can also see the Kami band having a great time to, without missing a beat.
If you react to tales of the destinies by babymetal i swear you’ll die of hype, i recommand the experience.
When they first started, their outfit were borrowed clothes, not even real outfits (see in their Doki Doki Morning MV - their very first MV), then they got that gothic-lolita style outfit in their early headline solo shows (those are outfits in the Headbanger MV), and overtime, their outfits getting more and more 'Metal' like those red tutus+black+armor-like chest and shoulder pads, there's a time in their 'Dark Era' they changed to something completely badass like Amazon warrior dresses, abandon the Kawaii elements... And finally in the Metal Galaxy era, they wore those black battle dresses like you see in this compilation - which still retain the kawaii elements but look so much more mature and cool. Their lastest outfit can be seen in their 'The One - Stair Way to Living Legend' video - are more refined version of their Metal Galaxy black dresses, those like work of art with chrome color and a lot of over the top details
Ach! No No No Love, please watch the Babymetal - Live In Japan video (EPIC!). It's not a bloody compilation either!

I believe it worth noting that this particular compilation is good as far as compilations go. At least it is synced to the performances properly and the crowd shots are epic.
"ROAD OF RESISTANCE, Live in Japan (OFFICIAL)", is considered by many to be the ultimate "live" version. Of course it is my opinion that they all, mostly, bear watching at some point.

Some of the compilations have merit, for example, the "fan" compilation of Shanti, Shanti, Shanti showcases the girls fantastic Bollywood Dance routine, while the "official version" focuses on "special effects". In this case though, the "Official" version of Road of Resistance is epic, in the top three BA vids I would say and the mash-up here lacks continuity. For your own benifit, at some point you should watch the official "long" version.

Make sure you react to "Babymetal Death - Live Legend 1997" before watching any Babymetal guide videos.
Compilations are not likely to get blocked. That makes them good for reactions. For some songs, there is one video that stands out. Road of Resistance is one of them. The live performance used for the official video is so good, no compilation can match that. By not watching that one, you missed the best portion of the singalong part.
You talked about the girls being older because their cheeks changed. Here is what I think happened: You had a picture of Yui on your mind, saw Moa and thought the difference were because of the girls' being older. Yui and Moa look very different.
Also, some of the footage in this video has Avenger Kano Fujihara dancing in Yui's spot.
But Moa's appearance especially has changed significantly as she has matured. She is thinner and more muscular and she just generally looks older and more mature (and very beautiful).

I'm not a huge fan of compilations and this particular one is not so good... specially compared with the real live performance from the "New Year Fox Festival" in 2015 (it's on their official channel under the name "BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL)". I believe you should take a look, it's just epic :)
On the other hand, it's less likely your videos get blocked... but you deserve to watch and experience the best performances possible, without distractions by stage, costume or even members changes and avoiding bad fan-made edits.

So mainly because the constant changes distract and break the flow of the choreo and the performance in general.
I would only recommend few compilations without any of these issues. For example, from concerts at the same or very similar stage setup like Budokan 2021 and Yokohama + Nagoya + LA in 2019.
But this in particular has nothing to do against the Legend 2015 real performance.
@Road Runner respect your reply but disagree. These “shortcomings” that you list are in my opinion due to personal preferences on your part and are negated by the obvious awe and wonderment that new reactors feel when reacting to kurokiitsunama’s Headbanger and this (also Kurokiitsunama). You cannot tell me that it does not make the reactor excited to see more because they are blown away by the energy that these bring. I never want compilations to be a sole source of reactor viewings but I am more concerned about having a novice reactor see how legitimate these girls are by the crowds and the venues rather than “purist” concerns. If the reactor is excited to watch more then they will eventually learn the details that so many anti-compilation fans desire. But if they are not inspired to continue then it matters not. And I have seen many a reactor fall by the wayside because people recommend tge MV’s Doki Doki Morning, iine and BMD or solo’s too early in their experience. Just my opinion sir, and I honestly thank you for yours.

You are just one of many reactors who by their reactions show why compilations (certain ones) are great as you actually see the different venues and the amazing crowds that are always present. It also shows that the girls and The Kami’s give it their all for every show.
As long as you know that they are compilations going in then you are good. For example the best BxMXC LIVE performance (in my opinion) is a compilation (you can either go with the one from kurokiitsunama or SYNCO (both are great).
Compilations from Kurokiitsunama or Ferr are always great quality.
The only real alternative to the compilation videos is the library from Babymetal Reactors Resource. That is a great source but the draw back is the logo. It's fine for us fans who have seen the videos a billion times aleady but, I'm willing to bet at least half the Reactors watch the logo version and all first time Babymetal viewers the Reactor may bring along are watching that logo version. They are not getting the full impact anyway. Its better they see the comp videos than a logo. Besides, I get tired of seeing the same video and same performance from every song being reacted to over and over and over again.

Yui memang dinobatkan oleh banyak fans sebagai icon babymetal, dan ROR memang lagu favorit Yui.
Semenjak dia keluar saya ga lagi fans grup ini karena bagi saya ga ada BM kalo ga ada Yui, lagipula setelah dia keluar grup ini sudah kehilangan aura cute nya, lagu2nya dan musik2nya juga sudah jauh dari kata fun, termasuk digunakannya west kami sebagai default stage musicians sangat jauh dibandingkan eastern kami yang selalu ketawa senyum dan fun sepanjang setiap penampilan.

I am so happy you found the girls now women! 🤟🤟🤟. The only problem with Baby Metal is simple...the "Fox (friken) God, shut them down! I pray to my God all the time for these women to come back and treat to us to there wonderous songs and dance. If I ever have to go to war, I hope that Su Metal is on my team!

Nice reaction. I would normally tell reactors to stay away from compilations because it tends to get confusing for them. You caught it early enough not to be thrown for a loop by it. Babymetal So we're just going to walk out with the flags and then what? Count off and all hell breaks loose. Oh ok 1234 right into the horse-riding stance. Away they go down the Road of Resistance. A musical masterpiece as well complete with ridiculous amounts of audience participation. They did an extended ending with a key change. And the part everyone at a Babymetal concert waits for the "We Are, Babymetal" which was cut off here. That also means it's the end of the concert. That's the only time they do that part. They say it because the fans are part of Babymetal. As in One with the band. And that's why the fans of Babymetal are called the ONE. Babymetal does a lot of cardio training. When Yui left and they started using the avengers (3 dancers) to fill in her spot. At a festival they did you can clearly see the after the song the avenger is breathing heavy, while Su and Moa are as calm as can be. Pros pro. But it wasn't always like that. At one festival they had to take an extended break between songs as Moa started to overheat. She was still young and small back then. When asked if you could go back and talk to your younger self what would you say? Moa said make sure you warmup first. Words of true Wisdom. You're ready for the everything you want to know about Babymetal guide. Look for Cryptics guide on youtube. That way you can have all their back story and we can just talk about the performances. Which is a lot on its own. The guide will also play clips of some songs you haven't heard yet. don't worry about that. It will just give you ideas of which songs you will want to do next by them. I think for reaction purposes, this compilation is justifiable, as the official version from their channel (the one that sweeps everything away) is probably one of the most blocked videos here on YT. So, I can only recommend you, for real goosebumps, definitely check out that one (Video ID: "zTEYUFgLveY"). It's not only BM's best performance, but maybe one of the best ever.

I have seen the Official video reacted to numerous times and they are still there.
@@AxeSwipe2011 That's true, but others get blocked instantly or sometimes even weeks/months later. It's like a lottery with content from Amuse. And they are very quick to hand out copyright strikes, which a channel can't afford to have too many of.

You should try being a little more expressive in your reactions. I can hardly tell if you're enjoying yourself. 🤣 Don't worry about this being a compilation. I'm not a fan of all the bellyaching about compilation videos anyway. While there is nothing wrong with the official videos and pro-shots and I think you should watch them, these comps let you see all the highlights of different concerts. You see elements of the performances you wouldn't see from just one concert. The main thing is, you obviously had a lot of fun watching it but there will be grumbling that will take away from the experience. If you happen to stumble upon a badly made compilation video, I trust you are smart enough to realize it and go for another video.
