i knew jaden mcdaniels was a very good defender but the flashes he has shown of being a solid or good midrange scorer raises his ceiling to entirely new heights if he can continue to develop his ability to create off the dribble

I love this squad currently this season for us! Defs agree Jady moves very well for his size. Really lanky, but very fluid and versatile with solid court IQ. Love his game and potential ceiling. Would love to hear your thoughts on Naz Reid too. Similarly a part of the building blocks of this squad making a huge impact.
When you look at his drives to the hoop, you'll notice he's pretty technical on his shots - strong move to avoid block shots, holds ball up high to prevent small guards from stripping it away. Still he need to continue to work on his handles and bulk up a little more yet but it's been a vast improvement this year for him. Hoping with Ant and Jaden is they become like a Tatum/Brown kind of pairing but better. I'm sure Gobert is ecstatic to be playing defense with Mcdaniels... Conley, Jaden, Gobert, Slo-mo, and Prince is quite the defensive squad.

Players like Jalen McDaniels, Jared Vanderbilt, PG, and Kawhi are my favorite prototypes. 6’7-6’9, can guard 1-5, play 1-5, score off the dribble, and basically do everything any team could need then to do.
Once he develops more strength he will blossom into a more consistent potentially 18ppg scorer. I could see hom averagong 21 on a different team, but with kat and ant 18 is very good for a third option.
He was my draft crush coming out of WU, not even for defensive reasons. His offense game has always been attractive with his frame but now being an elite defender on top of that his ceiling is even higher than I originally thought. Easily all star level player even if the offense doesn't become as good as it can. If it does though, look out.
His 25 point game the other day vs the hawks was huge. And the fact that he is going to be if not already the best perimeter defender in the nba. him, Ant and kat make the t wolves future look bright I mean REAL bright..naz reid to.

What separates a quintessential 3+D guy from a star is his handle. 3+D guys with a handle easily turn into all-stars. I think McDaniels has that potential. I am not saying he will for sure reach it, but the upside is there, even though 22 is no longer very "young" by NBA standards. 3rd year is where players break out but I feel that with KAT and Gobert, the situation for him to break out is a bit limited. It helped him that KAT was out for a long time but I feel Wolves need to move on from KAT/Gobert duo for the team to have a real future. If Wolves trade KAT . for lets say all-star PG, I can see McDaniels shine as the 3rd star on that team.
