I have 4 gripes. #1. The final was easier for the men as they always had a partner. The women were disadvantaged by having to each run a leg solo. Making Justine have to remember twice as many numbers as the rest was absolutely unreal. At least cut her numbers in half to make it fair like they tried to do with Angela by cutting her dirt in half. That was just not a fair fight if ya ask me. #2. What was the point in coming in first if it didn't matter cause you were gonna split the pot? The first place should have been the lions share of the pot. So if all of them had of made it, they'd all have split the pot? So then what were the points for then? I just don't get this finale. I think Danny was robbed. Maybe I need to go back and rewatch it cause I'm confused why they had a point system and then in the end it didn't matter as they were gonna split the pot anyhow. Shout out to Danny and Angela. Both showed the world they were true competitors with class. I hope they will joint the original MTV challenge stars in the future. I think Tysons a comp beast but I prefer Danny's style of being humble yet still being a worthy competitor. Tyson and Sara's Ego's are a bit much. You can be a beast and still be classy and humble. #3. Why did they DQ Angela? In past seasons competitors who knew they couldn't do the leg would sit down and wait to be timed out, so how is this any different than past seasons? She knew she'd be penalized by the loss of points so she strategically weighed those odds and made the most optimal choice. If she'd studied up on past challenge finals and saw others making the same type of choices, then that's just not fair to her. Had the production said, look you have to try and then she said, nah I'm gonna sleep, then fine, she'd been warned. I don't get that. #4. Desi was screwed and that wasn't right. You should never be DQ'd cause your partner should have never been allowed to compete if he couldn't swim. Sorry Desi the casting crew screwed you over. Totally unfair. They already had the ladies running solo in legs so why not kick out Enzo and let Desi continue on and make 2 girls run solo each leg. That was just wrong. She was screwed over. And Challenge casting crew, please don't allow people who cant swim to join the cast ever again. My god it was infuriating watching Leo, Cashay, Enzo Bob in the water as their teammates had to pull them or piggyback them thru the challenge. Utterly disgusting. Please don't bring them back unless they've passed a swim test. It's just not fair to the other cast members.
I agree with pretty much everything you said. To clarify about the “splitting the pot”. How it works is if you completed the final, you would automatically get what was in your bank account. If you had the most points in the final and completed it, you would earn the 250k minus all other competitors bank accounts who completed the final. For example, say Tyson completed the final with Danny and Sarah completing it and being deemed the winners, Tyson would keep his bank account money and Danny and Sarah would lose out of half of what Tyson had in his bank account because the total prize money was 500k between all players.
@@petercollins4125 thanks for clarifying that for me. I'm still kinda confused about it though, lol. So maybe I just need to go back and watch it again. Maybe they made it clear and I somehow missed that. I get them splitting the bank, but I still think the first person to cross the winning line should get more than the second place and it said they split that equally so I don't get that part of it. And how did the points work? What was the point in the point system if they shared it equally? I'm still confused. Do you know?
If the others had made it across the finish line maybe the points would have had an affect but they didn’t matter cause only one guy and girl made it across
@@Lexielouwho A better, hypothetical example might help ya. So say Danny and Sarah win. They complete the final and come in first place with 15 points each. Tyson and Justine were to also finish the final, however they only scored 13 points each. Tyson and Justine both have 10k in their bank accounts (20k total). The prize money would be distributed in this situation as followed. Tyson - 10k (2nd place finished final) Justine - 10k (2nd place finished final) Danny - 240k (1st place finished final) Sarah - 240k (1st place finished final) Let me know if this helps understand better. Agreed. When losing toes and fingers to frostbite is a concern, maybe they should have paused the game till it was safe to continue. Hell they didn't even have gloves. Either that weather was a fluke and they could have paused everyone and restarted everyone at the places they paused them or that was how the weather always is and they didn't do their research and make sure the contestants were properly fitted with the right gear to run that leg of the final.
