- Podcast #48 was with the one and only, Mr. Beautiful, Kenny Santucci from MTV's The Challenge. Kenny and I both went to the same college so we reflected on that. We spoke in depth about the CT wrestle from MTV's The Challenge Inferno 3 and his overall Ct thoughts. Wow great job getting Mr Beautiful, the man the myth the legend. Kenny is definitely the reason why I started watching The Challenge, I think he’s a huge reason why people started watching The Challenge. The 7 finals in 8 seasons is absolutely insane, I think you definitely have to put him on the GOAT conversation. My favourite season was fresh meat 2 because of Kenny vs Wes’s whole alliance. Also absolutely should have won rivals 2. Great job Mike, keep em coming man!

I was literally just talking about Kenny to my dad yesterday. I was watching Rivals 1, and I told my dad about the eating challenge, and when Kenny said he could eat a meal like that every day of the week, twice on a Sunday, and he was cracking up! (I'm Italian from Rhode Island)

CT is a man’s man who I can respect when it comes to challenges. He has his flaws but he’s not nearly as insufferable as Kenny,Evan and Bananas. Those 3 are why I ultimately stopped watching the show. Both Wes and CT do shady shit but the hatefulness toward women and being sooo codependent on your butt buddies is what turned many fans off. I’ve recently started watching again and its refreshing to not know whats coming than the saaaaame tired “alliance” year after year after year.
Yeah I couldnt stand CT waaay early. But he's matured and now, considered a Elder. We've all been young and stupid once. But CT One of the best to do it. Watching these newer.l competitors stand up against bananas and Wes mindgames is refreshing
CT and Wes don't have the best track record with how they treat women on The Challenge, lol. CT also got kicked off two different shows for punching people, and Wes has been willing to sell anyone down the river to benefit himself. There are very few saints on The Challenge. Among the greats, it's pretty much just Landon and Darrell.
Mike - loved this, great job! Glad to see Kenny is as real as he seemed on TV, one of my faves, the new show is no where near the same of that era of the challenge. Kenny is right; S30 on no one will be rewatching any of that trash.

Great interview! I am kinda shocked that he bad mouthed, CT. Also, sucks he still doesn't like Wes. Wes is one of my favorite competitors :( I really wish you would have gone over the whole final with Eric where he gassed out and made the whole team lose. I know because of legality issues that you couldn't talk about the Tanya thing but dam I wish I could hear his side of the story.
CT wouldn't mess with Kenny. Kenny went toe to toe, nose to nose, with him and CT backed down.

When Johnny says 'there's no loyalty in the house anymore' what he is really saying is that no one falls for his shit anymore... he manipulated everyone and they finally caught on after a decade or two. Loyalty does not equal giving up one's game for his game. You had a good run when you had the charm Johnny, but game over thank goodness.

Ik it's been a while since this interview happened but I think it was well done. I mean I was never a fan of Kenny, Evan, or Bananas but it's nice to get his take on things even though there were holes or at least discrepancies in his stories.
Like for one him wrestling with Landon, Landon confirmed that they never wrestled. Secondly Kenny likes to say he is the same person on and off the show, but multiple people dismissed this but he isnt as bad as a lot of others. Furthermore he states that him Evan and Kenny ran the show bc they trusted one another and there isnt trust in the show anymore, however that only worked 4 his core group, 4 newbies coming in what are they supposed to do trust the group running the show and hope that they keep their word. It wouldnt have worked and I believe that's why guys like CT and Wes didnt work with them bc they knew they would always be at the bottom of their alliance and would be taken out when push came to shove.
However the one thing that I really wish someone would ask Kenny is his whole take on the Sarah and Johnny decisions made in Exs 2 and Rivals 3 bc at one time he was good friends with Sarah so I would like to know what his whole opinion on those decisions are.
His answer would have been "dough before hoes." Side note I think this guy is a dochbag who the hell puts on the television while being interviewed? All I wanted to know was if the rumors were true of why he was no longer on the show.
It was great seeing Kenny again, but I hate how he acts like he's above the show and doesn't watch it or keep up with it anymore. I'm pretty sure he tunes in every week and watches the challenge just like the rest of us.
I am very impressed with the interview with Kenny. I am sad that we do not have him on The Challenge anymore. I would have loved to see him interact with Bear, Devin, Hunter, Jay, Joss, Nelson, Paulie, Rogan, Tony Time, and Turbo.

Listen folks Mike has been out here hustling since Day 1. He’s a young guy working real hard to bring us Challenge fans what we want. None of us know wth went on with Kenny and it’s not our place to judge. Like Kenny or not he was a HUGE staple of the show and we cant just pretend he didnt exist. If you dont like him it’s easy don’t watch. There is NO reason to be giving any hate to this young man Mike Lew. Take that shit somewhere else!

I know I mean the anger he holds towards Wes after so many years makes me think there is a lot more to their story than what we know.
Furthermore his ego is still off the charts. It's why he never committed to a true partnership with Wes during Rivals and is a big reason why they lost. Just him saying I should have won all those finals, you lost Kenny plain and simple. Facts:
Fresh Meat: you lost to the puzzle it's part of the game
GAUNTLET 3: The team knew that you had to finish together and although it sucked you all went at a pace that medically disqualified Big Easy, sucks but it was part of the game.
Fresh Meat II: you just thought you had the game won with Laurel but Landon and Carley crushed you get over it.
Rivals 1: I will give him some leniency, if you won the first leg by 40 or 50 minutes you should have at least gotten that much of a head start but the fact of the matter is you and Wes never truly became a team and is the reason you lost even with a two minute head start on the last leg of the final

He says Wes says the same thing but he says the same thing about Wes. It just seems like he's jealous of him. Rivals 1, he wouldn't even be in the finals if wasn't for Wes carrying him all season. Wes made the challenge FUN to watch. Kenny, Evan, and Bananas' alliance got old. The show needed a Wes to make it fun and interesting. He went against the "Mafia" as Kenny put it and that was so entertaining. And Wes does have a business you can look him up online and watch vids of his business. I did find Kenny hilarious.... a nice comic relief but Evans and bananas were snoozefest.

From the first season Wes appeared on The Challenge, the Kenny/Evan/Johnny trio had a plan to mock and humiliate Wes, and used Johanna to do it. They are foul. Only Evan seems to have a conscience. Watch seasons 11-21, and you will see the truth. CT went on season 20-21 to take KEJ down. Wes was used by all of them except Evelyn and CT. CT rocks!

I can't believe Kenny smoked Landon in a wrestling match, unless Landon was drunk. I really need much more details about that match and their dynamic.
Kenny said he thought the FM2 final was in the bag basically cuz Carley was such a weak link in comparison to Laurel, but he should have understood who Landon really was considering they went head to head for 90 minutes and he had a size advantage.
