Lots Of Recoveries, Even Ourselves

- We got a call for a jeep with broken front suspension on Hells Revenge. On our way we heard a noise as we were driving. We stopped at the gas station for fuel and realized the wheel bearing was out and the tire was about to come off. So we called Shawn to get parts and Mike and I tore it apart. Once it got back together we headed out to get the rig welded up. After getting that handled someone came up and said their rig was down and needed a tow. So we drug them out and back to the Trailhead. Standard crazy day for us. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

It's fun watching Shawn show up "bearing " gifts. 😂
Such an 'opportunist'!
Bahaha !
😮😮😆😆😆😎
What a turn of events. It was usually the white man who brought gifts to the Indians. 🤣
You 3 guys are the only ones who can make a pump side replacing front wheel bearing look fun. Keep up the great recoveries.
Reminds me of the 3 stooges?
Mommy, Mommy! I've got grease on my new pink Crocs. Yes dear, that Trail Mater bunch was probably doing repairs in the parking lot.
Ole boy in the toyo did a pretty good job driving that thing out.
I agree,
just in case no one else says it, the dude with the blown turbo is by far, THE BEST " deadstick" driver I've ever seen.
Yeah, he's definitely done that a couple times before!! Knows when and how much brake to use!
Was gonna say the same. Great brake control.
He still may need to toss the underware???
you know he was double footing the break and puckering the time
I just came here and made the same comment I've watched people that weren't dead stick that did way worse
You know it is going to be a good episode when it starts w/ replacing a wheel bearing at the gas pump!
Great content as always without fake drama or overproduction. Just the good stuff!
I agree 100% and no music is ever needed.
You guys make a perfect team!! Rory fixes,Mike explains what’s going on,and Shawn has an amazing laugh! Keep up the great work guys. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love the spool gun!!
Tacks it with the mini, then finishes with the shipyard 'stick welding' method! Rory is a great welder!
2 trail repairs and a rescue, not bad for a Saturday morning
Nice work guys! The Toyota driver did a great job dead sticking it
@11:52 Mike: He's really gonna like this part.
Best descriptive comment.
That is a sweet green rope, even Matt's Off Road Recovery agrees!
Mike is nice. I like Mike. Be like Mike. Excellent work boys!
Love that you can fix things so fast with no panic
A bottle jack! I was holding my breath.
Or some clown back up into into the wrecker... not good.
Yeah he was pretty good with no power brakes
Was that a Trail Repair with a Wire Feed with the new Premier Power Welder? COOL! Would you give us a demo/Review on thee new Premier Power Welder? And as always... FUN TO WATCH YOU GUYS.
The guy being towed did an incredible job with no power steering or brakes.
You guys have done some things so many, many times that you do it unconsciously! Almost with eyes closed. 😂
a new rory vid. it's gonna be a good day 😉
The OL' mater repair and maintain day,
Gotta love it. ❤
I like the new welder
Do you suppose that it's green because of Rory! 🤔. I hope so.
Brake system Power Boost (vacuum servo assist) - no power = no boost = a really hard pedal!
Buddy did a good job driving a dead truck out of there!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Trail Mater team to the rescue right after they change the right front wheel bearing! Mater, Rory, Mike and Shawn bringing the parts finished this trail repair and towed the other one out!
Thank you Rory and crew for the adventure and seeing some amazing scenery !
Thank you.
@13:32 a Diamond Billed Rockpecker flies by the Boom of Trail Mater.
That guy in the little blue Toyota did a heck of a good job following you out of there with no power brakes or steering. I've watched people that had power brakes and steering that did way worse.
I got the impression you weren't crazy about the spool gun. I'm guessing you couldn't get the penetration you can with a stick? Great video as usual!
excellent driving by the towed vehicle
Don't no if anyone else has said it, but that last recovery that guy did a good job with those brakes!! Ot maybe just Rorys good driving😂
A happy gas pump repair, awesome trail repair, excellent recovery. Good job guys.
Fixed trailmater on the way, weld a control arm, then tow out a Toyota. You guys are crazy awesome
Another great day on the red rocks. Sweet!!😁👍💪💪
The big block shines in the mountains.
Happy to see you using those Nitril Gloves I sent you Shawn!
Not calling you out or saying you are doing something wrong, just something I realised while watching the video.
I have always been taught to never get under a load, no matter if it's a forklift, crane, a hoist or just someone pulling something up with a rope, you always stay to the side of it, just in case. So when I see you guys working on a truck that's suspended from a winch, every fibre in my body is just shouting "WRONG!". I have to remind myself that there is a giant grey area of being smart about less than ideal situations and being as safe as you can be without going overboard with the precautions or having to bring half a workshop worth of equipment.
Happy weekend mater thanks for the video Rory love the show
Love the new spool gun! Sweet ! ! ! !
Great job again.
You could make a vacuum with the airline on trail mater and a vacuum generator to get customers brakes up and going when pulling dead rigs out. Just an idea.
At least it happened on flat and stable ground with a roof over it 😅
Thinking about that guy who ran studded tires on the slickrock. FYI, it's called slickrock because horseshoes don't stick to it.
Thanks for the video ❤ great job guys.
Champions" Trail Mater, road side gas pump, jack it up, R&R front wheel bearing, never in all my life have I seen anything like you three men. amazing and still complete the service call along with gathering up an other stranded back country adventurer. awesome day.
Keep your eyes on the Lord. Blessings to you and yours.

This is the diversity episode. I spied a couple Rovers, a Grenadier, and the yota and jeeps you worked on. Oh, and I guess there was a Chevy in there too.
That rig must be one of the must functional items on the planet. And versatiled, as well. Keep it up
You guys are a lot of fun started with a gas station repair on TrailMater. Then a customer repair then a flat tow out.
I give the guy credit he had no brakes he did really well especially on the sketchy spot. I was steering like a pro
Nice repairs, & good recovery. That guy came out deadstick as well as Shawn or Mike could have done. The laughter you guys have always make the videos more enjoyable. Mike you should know better than to bet against Rory doing something. Thanks for sharing.
Sir Shawn saves the day.
Who else love when the great trail mater gets some well deserved TLC
Your pump side repair was awesome! However the Jack positioning looked a little sketchy. Maybe it was just my angle but I was nervous the whole time LOL.
Most people toss some trash or wash the windshield in the fuel lane. Then there's Trail Mater who just casually replaces a wheel bearing ... that's as good as it gets ! Awesome video as expected guys.
Watching the rope, while towing that dead duck out, made me think of something. It may sound crazy, but I'm sure somebody could build a spring wound wind-up, to take up the slack in the rope in such situations.
Think of one of a dog leashes that winds itself back up, but have an end connection on the wind-up, that would take the load when the towed vehicle stops rolling and goes back to being towed.
Maybe I should apply for a patent! 🤔😁
I've been flat-towed (on roads) more than a few times and it ain't easy. It shouldn't go unnoticed how well Rory towed and how well the customer drove out. "Nicely done.".
Don't know if I've missed where ya talked about the painted markings on the ground before but I would like to hear a bit about them if ya ever have the time to show a flat lander like myself about them. As always I enjoy watching you guys work. And that ole big block grunting out whatever is behind it is a beautiful sound.
Great video with variety.
Nice video!! Great job welding the front end back together. The other guy did a pretty good job following the Mater too! As always, great job on the camera and getting those trail shots!!!
Good morning from Dolan Springs. AZ love the show and the content it's real.
He should have just stuck a Beat not Babied band aid sticker on the axle and drove it out 😂😂
I love the "Beat, not Babied" sticker!
Ponder, if you will.. Manifold vacuum connector, hose, check valve, reserve vacuum tank, valve 40 feet of hose, box-o-connectors .. great content as always
That jack sure looks safe 😂
Good to see trail mater being used again 😂
I love the comradely in your team. I appreciate the way you treat each other. Keep up the good work out there.
Thanks for entertaining us 🎉
Trail Mater is the coolest truck. It should totally be a Hot Wheel.
you know it's gonna be one of those days when the first thing you have to rescue is the rescue😮👍👍
Youall are fierce !!
These guys start the day with a shot of 5w 30. 😂💪
I would love to see some well filmed trail welding 😉 that welding setup looks sweet. Maybe an episode of Adventure welding 😎
Great video, and the guy in the dead truck did great.
@15:32 that’s multipurpose grease. It’s got different colors and serves multiple applications. 😂
I watch all of you "Utah You Tubers" - I learned something today! You told the Toyota guy that you did not like tow the truck by raising his truck up. You told the guy that if you towed the truck up it may cause his or your truck to flip over. I never thought of that!
Uncle rory and the funkie bunch.. good stuff 🤠👌
Rory and trail mater save the day again!
Thank you guys
You guys making it look easy...thats a crazy looking welding gun....hi tech stuff there
You guys Rock on the Rocks.❤
My two favorite exhaust/motor noise is Rory’s ‘Trail Mayer’ and Matt’s ‘Morvair’
Trail Mater is the bomb.... we love you and your team....
Oh man just a month ago I had to replace the same part and side on my denali in the Harkins theater parking lot .......awesome mobile mechanic s
Thanks Guys
Trailmater gets her done
Hallucinogenic grease ! Look at the colors! Great job guys.
TRI-MATER SATURDAY
A nice 2 for 1 recovery ! Thanks for sharing !
I remember those welding rod #'s from my days at a heavy industry plant. Dunno what '6011' or '7018' properties are, however, as I wasn't a highly paid welder in 1973, I was a lowly go-fer!
Welcome back to the out takes,
I just love them😊
Man Rory held his tongue on that XJ fix..the original weld job looked terrible to say the least.
Loved this video. Nice job!
All action sequences throughout, great stuff.
Good job guys
The use of that jack is on another level.
good luck on the yotas you guys were there
Good camera work. Excellent trail views. Made the repairs and recoveries professional and fast. You guys rock!!
I have to restrain myself on making puns about the pump side repair. That pressure is unBEARINGable! 😁😁😁😜
Those front leaf springs are Sprung 😂
They are flatter than a pancake
Yes, you are professionals and experts at what you do
