For all of `my` life anyway, Christmas has been disparaged as having lost all its intended meaning, and become a way to get consumers to spend money they don't have on crap they don't need. There have even been people who have made the direct argument that Christmas is necessary for the health of the economy. So, when I hear this sort of political wrangling about Christmas being `under attack,` it just makes me chuckle. Not only did they destroy Christmas, but they did it a heck of alot longer than 20 years ago.
My mom once got upset with me for saying, "Happy Christmas" instead of "Merry Christmas" because it reminded her of "Happy Holidays." I was like, "Mom, chill. It literally means the same thing." 🙄
I feel bad, because my dentist has cancer and printed up this self-published pamphlet and it is a lot of denigration of Consumerism, but it is wild to me that soooo many "Christian" lawmakers are literally celebrating murder by their allies ²4/7.
Thats really sad you won't pray for people. Remember is it's posdible God exists, maybe your prayers are heard. Please don't walk the path of the pessimist.
@RighteousnessWillPrevail You're the only one acting like the pessimist here bub. Thinking all atheists are pessimists by default because you don't understand anything about people that don't think like you do and therefore must be less happy than you which the opposite is true. Atheists are a happy group of people, not tethered by immoralities by a non-existent god and fearing it like a little child and fearing eternal torture for not daring to go outside of your cave. Boohoo for the little caveman. He's too scared to think.
Richard you have my favorite voice on the show I would love to hear books read by you
Christy I love you!!!
A friend and I always try to be the first one to say, Have a blest day! when we leave!

We buy things we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't like. Dave Ramsey

House lighting issue must be local. My neighborhood is like daylight.
The commercialism is the best part of Christmas
Agreed

Yeah, keep religion out of Christmas.
You need money in your pocket to want to celebrate holidays. If you are poor, you have less motivation to do anything.
Well, they're selfish and greedy. What else would you expect?
