For those of us who(se parents) moved before the major waves of emigration, there’s never been much of a Nigerian telling of that experience. Like Tunde noticing his daughter code-switching between types of English. It’s been more the Gina Yashere/‘pranking my African dad’ type of thing (in media anyway). But yall who proper established yourselves at home before leaving to establish yourselves all over again, I suspect, will look back on ’documentation’ like this video in a decade with appreciation.
