As some of you may know I'm only doing my plant hauls every other month this year, so I thought I'd fill in the gaps with this brand new houseplant care series.

Terranium or terrarium? Great information. This winter I moved my plants around and swapped back and forth so nobody suffered too much from not enough light. I didn’t even plug in the humidifier this year but I did group plants closer together and kept a fan on half the day. Humidity averaged around 35% but dipped on the really cold days but it has all worked out ok since the temperature where my plants were got down to 63 to 65. There’s a term something like vapor pressure relative humidity something or other. Even the calathea did ok.
Ugh it’s terrarium. It’s one of those words I have a hard time saying 🙃 I’m sure your plants appreciated the effort you put in for them over the winter. That’s awesome your plants did well in that humidity level. Plants are great in that way and can adapt 😊🌿
My house has the solar shades on the outside of every window, great for energy efficiency but I'm not sure if any window actually gets UV light. Are led house lamps enough to supplement? I should mention im in las vegas so regular clear sky's and high sun is not usually lacking
Hey! So plants actually don’t need UV rays to grow so your solar shades shouldn’t affect them. Every lightbulb has a light spectrum and some can even be effective to grow plants.
