    Great video Reggie. question... when it it time to grade a comic ? do you wait til the raw prices goes up or do grade now and hope the comic value goes up over time based on you got the comic(s) graded.

    I don't care how any "spots" on a chart a book drops. I care if it loses VALUE. A book could drop spots on a chart and still be up hundreds or thousands of dollars.

    • @Boxingbear
      @Boxingbear 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. SPOTS mean next to nothing to me.

    • @RegieCollects
      @RegieCollects 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I respect it. I will add that tracking the spot might be a leading indicator of a price drop that has yet to be realized. Moreover it could be an indication that something else is about to spike. Just want to add a little perspective to consider.

    They may not be on the radar as Zemo keys but the best storyline featuring Baron Zemo the 2nd is the Under Siege storyline. Avengers 264 - 277 in the collected edition. 277 features Zemo v Cap on the cover. This is my favorite Avengers storyline of all time. Anyone who has not read it should be ashamed to call themselves a fan of The Avengers !

    That Cloak and Dagger on Spec Spiderman 64 looks dope. I never even thought of getting it. It's on the huntlist.

      I had a copy that I got in a box lot at an auction. But it was lower grade so I just sold it. I think I got 12 bucks for it. But this was like 8 yrs ago. Always a good idea to hang on to keys, even if they are low grade, as often as possible.

    Great video as always, Regie. I caution collectors to discern the difference between a book dropping spots on the Hot List from a book actually dropping in value. The X-Men and ASM comic issues referenced are not cheaper than they were, and never dropped in price. They are still upwardly mobile. It's just that there are comparatively hotter comics pushing them down the ranks, whereas the first Cloak and Dagger appearance in Spectacular Spider-Man has actually fallen in price because of a not very good TV series.
    All are great keys and will eventually catch fire again when Kevin Fiege puts those characters to use, but as far as buying now, that Peter Parker #64 is the bargain. It's an all-time classic Rick Leonardi / Terry Austin cover, too, that looks great in a slab - but there is no guarantee that it will appreciate as rapidly as Juggernaut's first appearance or provide a greater return on investment than the first Prowler.

    Great video! Love the exploration of buying in the dip. In the current market, it sounds like a wise strategy to me. Seems like there should be a name for a strategy that specifically targets books when they are down and collectors have turned their attention to fishing in other waters... 🤔😂

    I feel bad for “The Blogger”. Can’t we use the real name, so they get some recognition for their work?

    • @RegieCollects
      @RegieCollects 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They absolutely get credit for their work when we show their names on the screen. There is a reason I stay blinded to who the bloggers are. If you contact me via email or IG I can explain my rationale: Regie@RegieCollects or RegieCollects. I look forward to speaking with you today. Thanks again for watching and commenting.

    • @josephoveraitis4756

      Rob Bin I am one of those bloggers and I appreciate it that Regie does not know who we are when he reviews the articles. It gives us honest feedback. And we check your posts to see what you think of our blogs as well. I do not want a bias to ever effect his ability to give an honest review. Regie is the man because he has integrity when he reviews our reviews. That way you the viewer can trust him. That means more to me than getting recognition. I want you to know you can trust him when he gives his views on our blogs.

    I do have to humbly disagree with what you say about X-Men 12. I own a 6.5 and there is 0 chance that you can find this book for 1k. This book has been red hot and sells around the 2k level. X-men 12 are extremely rare on eBay and sell fast for higher and higher prices.

    Yeesh......I think I just need to stop watching these videos. It's all become so reductive towards the most negative aspects of the hobby. No one talks about creators and stories anymore. It's all about spec opportunities and flipping plastic, based on whatever the MCU decides to do. It's to the point where I actually hope a bubble is about to burst, so as to flush this element back out.
