Very helpful tutorial. I'm trying to port a Sting character from 2k23, at first when I would do it and view the entrance there would just be some floating eyes and teeth. Now I've fixed that, but he only comes out as the base model, no attire. So just a bald dude with some facepaint and trunks. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?

download the MDL plugin, go to edit, preferences, addons, install, find the zip file MDL plugin you downloaded, click it, then you should see a box next to visual concepts mdl, check it off and close it out, now you should see import visuals concepts mdl
i got excited seeing this video, please help, my blender doesnt have "visual concepts mdl" in import options, do i need to update my 3.5 blender and i don't have the " ycl reformat to 2024" file, can u assist
both the MDL plugin and ycl Reformat file are in the PWM Server on Discord, not sure if you can find it in a google search, but i got them from PWM server, visit prowrestlingmods.io and click on discord, going to have to be a Patreon Member to access the files tho

Is there a way to export the .MTLS file to be used in 2k23? I use the MTLS editor made for 2k23 and it says invalid file. MDL files are exported perfectly with the MDL plugin in Blender, the problem is MTLS...

@@SiTiNo187 Tested and working, the problem it presents is with the texture during the match, the hair is white and spreads across the screen. The hair in Blender is named: hair_ALPHA:skinned and lambert1:skinned

I wouldn't be able to since i do not own 2k23, but im sure its as simple as loading up the 2k24 in blender then export using the 2k23 mdl plugin, not 100% sure but thats how i would do it if i had the game to test it i would have definitely done a video on it
with 2k19 files they come in a .pac format, you need x-packer to extract the files from within pac then use reshape to load the yobj files that you extracted and then extract the .obj files from the yobj, then in blender you load the .obj files and have to parent the objects to a 2k24 skeleton, transfer weights, set rotations and clear seams and other stuff to get it right, the hair won't have animation so you will need to find a CAS hair thats similar in style to fit on your 2k19 character and use the ycl from that CAS

i do have a video on the black head issue, but some ppl still have issues going that route, so if everything looks good but you just have the issue of face is black then change the head shader in material editor from yCh_head::Normal to yCh_skin::Normal, if you have any other issues hmu with a DM on Discord sitsabeast#8658
I haven't done it but i know 2k23 has a plugin for blender, so using the 2k24 plugin, import the 2k24 character, then export using the 2k23 plugin, making sure you import shape keys and export the shape keys, again i've never done it and can't test since I do not own 2k23
Best tutorial out there, in the other tutorials no one told about fixing the crashes by exporting the hpl file, THE BEST TUTORIAL OUT THERE !!!

Yeah, become a Patreon to PWM (Prowrestlingmods.io) go to their discord and download the MDL, Cakeview and YCL Reformatter

When exporting the MDL in blender, check the Generate mtls box
