- This is the 2014 Nissan Juke NISMO. Nissan decide to add some extra flair and performance to their quirky CUV. It features a 1.6L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder mated to a CVT, and AWD capability. Does it have enough to earn the NISMO badge it carries?

All these negative comments about the looks made me laugh. I got mine for how different it looked from basic stuff thats out there ... It's really fun to drive.
I actually like the NISMO front end. I just wish that if they ise the NISMO badge they do a little bit more performance wise ! I am very happy to hear that you are enjoying yours! Is you Juke a NISMO?
@@RaitisRides No. I have the base model ... Long commute in LA traffic wouldn't benefit me. Lol ... I wish Nissan would get it together with the performance on all their vehicles ...

@@RaitisRides I have a 2013 with 130K miles on it. Replacement engine at about 100k ... not sure if that's good or bad. Lol
BLUE did you drop a valve or spin a bearing?
I have a 2013 nismo juke 6 speed. Best car I've had. Zero mechanical issues. My only complaints are the materials on the steering wheel. Wear rather quickly and gets dirty easily.

I just bought a used 2012 Juke SV 2wd 6spd and people will never know until they've driven one. I'm a sport/muscle car kind of guy, but there's just something about the Juke that I really like. 😁

I bought my black JUKE Nismo RS (6 speed) with 230 bhp (stage 1) and the last car that was sold in 2018 (9 November). I love that cute little model like a frog. Believe me or not but it is a race monster and very fast, so I am happy with this beauty ❤️👌🔝
My high school son has this exact car. It's a good entry level car and with the "AWD" and rear backup camera, I feel it's a pretty safe first car. And I like the look.

The interior door handles look a lot like the ones on a 370z
all jukes are a gem for tuning especially the 6 speed.
The Nissan Juke did get discontinued before the Nissan Kicks came out.

They should’ve just brought back the Sentra SER spec v Or just did better with the styling or not use a CVT and a turbo in the same combination but the vehicle does serve a purpose another good review

got this exact car except black/red. i love it. some of the things he said about the interior that he hates i love for the reasons he said. "looks tron'ish, robocop". its my little space ship lol. Now the only things i didnt like would be the stock sound system. it sounds hollow with just 4 6in speakers. Upgraded those day 1 with 4 alpine type r in the door and 2 10in alpine S subs, also no blue tooth for the music, or remote start. Other then not having these little niceties this car rocks, so fun to drive. It does turn heads people are always asking me about my car. I don't drive it much just to work and around town. 2021 and only just now broke past 40k miles. only mechanical problem so far is my car yeeted its alternator serpentine belt 2 days ago >.
A review of the juke R with the VR twin turbo engine i dont remember if its 3.0 or 3.8, that would be cool to see.

yes they did dab into putting the GTR engine and drivetrain into the Juke.
It pretty quick but the driveshaft was shorten to fit the Juke wheelbase.
so it had a skittish handling
but somehow started a trend of whole GTR swapping of some Nissan models
Imagine a Nissan Patrol which is a SUV, but now it has the power of a GTR under the hood with the AWD drive train as well.
That Nissan Patrol GTR smoked a Porsche 918 Spyder in the Grand Tour.
That is really insane but still at the end of the day it's a Juke or Patrol and that is where I have to pass.
Raiti's Rides those Nissan Patrol even with the stock TB48DE are no slouch. The TB48DE are like the big block RB26DETT.
Those crazy arab guys made a 2000bhp Patrols and they used the SUV to spank all those Super and Hypercars.

I like the idea of the Nismo cars. Execution of the lesser ones have been lacking which is a shame. From 2003-2007, I had a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V with some Nismo goodies. It was a great car for the time and well executed. The Juke and Sentra Nismo are weak entries when compared to everything else in the market. The GTR and 370z Nismo cars are well done. The states never got any of the Nismo powered SUVs like the Nismo Patrol. I would own one of those.
You bring up some very good points! I am all about sharing the NISMO love, just make it worthwhile for enthusiasts. They have to know what we truly want and that we will not be fooled by gimmicky marketing!
@@RaitisRides agreed. If they had boosted the power a bit in the Sentra Nismo beyond the regular Turbo Sentra and tweaked the handling a little more, reviews overall would have been a lot better. I sat in one and while it looked cool, I think for the price and performance, you are better off in the new Civic SI

I think you should do some BMW's, ( M series) and maybe some Benzo's... I would like to see a Chevy Colorado Midnight Edition :) But if you really want views I would start modifying that RS of your's LOL Still waiting on the wifey driving the RS also. Keep up the grind buddy.
I have done some BMWs. I did the ALL NEW 2018 BMW M5, M3, and some quickie reviews of various years and models of BMW. I am debating what my next move is with the RS. I am lusting after something else currently. The damn footage with my wife driving the RS got corrupted so we need to re-film it. Sometimes this technology stuff doesn't work well. I actually like that car in the RS all wheel drive version. I think if they put a little bit of luxury back into the inside it could be a competitive against the mini countryman.
Maybe drop the Juke name and name it Nismo quad
The Juke is more reliable than a Mini Cooper. The Minis head gaskets fail before 50k miles. I made a video about it. Nissan also showed everyone a 3.8L will fit in the Juke, and a V6 isn't fitting into a Mini.
2015 model and up is much improved and better especially with the standard 360 camera and navigation and Rockford audio system

Raiti's Rides I have the 2015 juke nismo RS the black one I bought it second hand last year. It’s fun to drive it has the recaro front seats.. it’s like a go cart it’s quick I just don’t like the plastic interior everywhere and the cvt engine but it’s puddle shift with 8spd and it’s 211hp coz it’s RS edition compare to regular juke nismo only 190hp. It’s a good car I know lots of guys here make fun with the design but I love it😊 anyways I love watching your vids coz it’s really informative and interesting! Good job sir and more car review please😊

Most people in the auto industry believe that since it is very small in stature and maneuverable it is a football reference. It really is the ultimate Zonk. The Nissan Kicks that replaces it must be another football reference! lol
im not sure but thinking about the oldschool juke-boxes i can kind of see it. the flare that they had.
@@RaitisRides After all this time, I tend to agree with you Joe in that it may have derived from football in that it is "to fake out." But it can be and is used in lot of non-foot ball situations. Kinda like what some youtube channels owners via their thumbnail click-bait which could be described or commented on like, "Boy, that Channel really juked me!" Or when playing poker and your opponent "bluffed" you, aka your opponent juked you but good!😉

Drive one, handles amazing Isent top heavy the fwd 6 speed manual version with a lsd. The aero kit is functional. Think fiesta St that has the ability to actually hold the power down sense you can't fit 255s under the week archs
You can laugh all you want until they you get gaped by a Juke with a few bolt-ons and 2jr tune pushing 290+ whp and 350ft torque.

You did very well with all grammar, and word usage! :-) . I feel the same way! Nissan has really lost it's way with their cars. Some experts are saying they have some great things coming to their lineup. We will have to wait and see. Good news is they have terminated the Juke and replaced it with the Kicks which I did a review of. Bad news is the Kicks has a 1.6L NA engine with a meager 127hp and the dreaded CVT! I have seen some info on the new Altima and some of it looks a little promising. Expect a review on that when it hits showrooms. Finally, the Nissan Titan, I actually have nothing to say because I have never liked it. Thanks for your great detailed comments!
