I love the doctor. The contrast between his ominous appearance and scratchy voice, and genuinely sweet and good nature is the epitome of your overarching art style all in one single character and its just UGH I love him! Especially the way his tiny little claws just slowly manipulate the pins out of the box like a shrimp.
In my mind it is now canon that the doctor under his cloak is absolutely fabulously blinged out with pins and in the finale it will act as a chainmail protecting his organic bits and pieces
If that is the case, i think the doctor 1: will not have meant for them to be used like that and 2: will be very cross with whoever destroyed his precious pins.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: *inhale* I LOVE THE DOCTOR His comment on the "Organics" for the Pin maker, and him only having the bare essentials, kinda suggests he's not a robot, but a cyborg. Perhaps he aided his previous patients by removing obsolete organic matter and replacing it with cybernetics of his own design. That might explain why he's no longer a doctor, to have resorted to working for Ney... His license got revoked after word got out of his work. But because Ney recognised the genius at work, they decided to fund the good Doctor's carreer further. What amazing worldbuilding, in essentially a pin commercial!

The Doctor is my favorite Little Guy from this series! All the characters tend to be adorable is an uncanny sorta way, very much a unique style for this series. But the Doctor in particular has always been a subversion of that. A creepy ominous being that has a Friend Shaped personality. Him becoming one with his collection was inevitable. Very creative idea!
The pins and posters are beautiful
I just love to think that if you ever catch him moving a bit fast that you can hear the jingling of his pin collection all over the inside of his cloak. Thinking of such an intimidating creature just having little tinkling sounds as he moves brings a smile to my face.
