- What to do when your Geberit toilet has too short flushing time. Mostly this happens when you use rainwater for flushing the toilets.
The only thing you have to do is clean the flushing valve. This video shows you how to get this valve out and back in.
This is the second one for the basement bat. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxOuLt8IL_GxhhaK8DBuKEL-zV0UJVpWZn , works great
Cristal clear instruction video... problem fixed. Thanks a lot Dirk !
I had to adjust the two plastic (white and green) buttons so they pulled the levers further up, for me the pull was too shallow so the it did not trigger the flush properly.
You saved me from a lot of money and effort. Thank you dude! Awesome video
Hello!
Is it the old sigma flush plate?
They can be a little fussy. I put one in about 20 years ago. So far the 66mm washer went. Causing water to run continuously. More recently the little diaphragm craked causing water to run constantly. Not a lot of problems. When you have it taken that that far apart you should change out the washer on the bottom. Just saying. They're cheap
How do you stop one from constantly running
Dear Dirk, everything is fixed. Thanks a lot!
Thank you my guy. Thought no one else had the model with screws
Halo Mr. Dirk, how i fix if it cannot stop to fill water? Thank you
You can easily close the filling valve. On 1:40 in the video you see it in the upper middle. Close it with a flat screwdriver turning clockwise.
Thank you so much 👍 👍 👍
How does one fix fairly recent hissing in the Giebrit toilet; we cleaned seals etc
pour a bottle of vinegar into the tank after it has been flushed overnight. That might possibly clean soda if it's under the seal on the bottom of the tank. Just a guess.
Thank you so much!
Clear instruction, very helpful. Could I ask the model of the flushing valve? My valve is broken and need a replacement.
Thank You for video. You very help me.
Thank you.
Thanks! I fixed it! Only the 2th problem is that after a flush it keeps leaking water. Need to push the button a few times to stop it. Do you know how to fix this?
I think you best pull out the flush valve again, and clean the seal at the lower side, and also clean the opening in the tank where that seal fits into.
Same problem here, have to push the flush two or three times than it stops Running.
@@kc1425 any solution ??
@@apparentlyjeremy the plastic supporting the rubber was chipped off causing the rubber initially not seat firmly, then the second push ,water pressure pushed the seal in the chip this closing off. No replacement parts found so installed whole new Flush system.
@@kc1425 Sounds annoying, but I’m glad you found a solution anyway. My rubber was still intact fortunately and I just removed the flush valve, cleaned it for the first time in like 15 years and put everything back in place. Worked like a charm and got some experience on how toilets work
👍👍👍

Hi Mr.Dirk Nelissen, your video helped me to fix my flush problem. (Only one point i was not able to remove the flush valve, i could not locate or identify the clip, Somehow i have cleaned without removing).
Thanks a lot.
Sometimes it can only be a bubble in the sealing rubber! Thank you for your vid to help me solve my problem. You saved me 70€ my dude!
