Not-So-Big Ben demanded a divorce, as did his younger sister Tammy. Neither one had any idea Melissa would be serious about it. By the time THAT occurred to Ben and his sister, it was much too late.
Tammy is Melissa’s younger sister, not Ben’s. Ben and Melissa were married. Ben and Tammy had an affair, which precipitated the divorce.
Melissa had already suspected what her sister was doing from her sister's social media accounts and had hired a PI and a lawyer. She was a step ahead of Tammy and Ben. Melissa had cut off her parents and sister long ago due to them treating Tammy well and her (Melissa) lousy. Apparently they knew she had married Ben and made a bunch of wrong assumptions about the house and Ben. Because they were not on speaking terms with Melissa, they did not know the truth about Melissa and Ben's marriage nor about the house.
It sounds like the whole thing was orchestrated by Tammy and her parents to move into the house Melissa and Ben were living in. I feel no empathy for Tammy and her parents. I feel sorry for Ben who got sucked into their ill-fated stupid plan. Look how fast Tammy dumped Ben! She never cared for him. He was just a tool to get the house she dreamed off.
It's wild how fast some people will quit jobs thinking someone else will support them.
It looks like Ben ex wife got the last laugh. Ben and his new wife just found out that the house that Ben and Melissa belong to her friend.
The 'least' Melissa can do is nothing. And that's what she's doing.
I would have given them a address to a homeless shelter for all of them... It's the least I could do to people who treated me like a doormat

9:22, Fun Fact, If your EVER Forced to sign legal documents while under Duress it Invalidates the Contract you signed. And yes this dont matter the contract. Could be an Employment contract, Divorce Documents, or even Marriage Documents... All you need do is prove you were under Duress at the time you were Forced to Sign.
Duress legally means they were holding a gun to your head, at least in the US. That you have almost no bargaining power doesn't matter.

I think it would be a problem to submit divorce papers and new marriage papers (to someone else) on the same day. What if they are processed in the wrong sequence?

What jobs have dormitories? Only ones i can think of are ships at sea and/or in port, offshore oil platforms, and of course any branch of the military if you live on post, be it the barracks, base housing or if attached to vessel either in port or about to go to sea for those in the Navy, sometimes Marines(on a aircraft carrier) or the Coast Guard
Spouses don’t pay compensation. Good luck proving the 3 things for compensation from the sister. Especially when all but 6 states are NO-FAULT divorce states. The 6 that aren’t don’t pursue it.
You can still sue if they used money from joint assets to finance the affair.
