I just stubbed across your channel feels like unbox therapy but your content feels more refreshing I have watched a few more videos and they are all amazing! You have gained another sub, keep up the amazing videos. I look forward to seeing them!
Honestly they're all pretty garbage and over the lifetime of using them you're going to buy multiple lights I can tell you that right now so you're better off just buying a brand name do one right off the bat 100% every time
I’m a vanlifer and have the small 5w panel hanging in a window and connected to a rechargeable fan. Works amazing. Keeps fan running though out day and then charges battery for continuing for night use👍. Thinking of getting another to keep a battery pack charged or who knows what I’ll figure out! Great video and info I was looking for 👏👏👏 . Well delivered ❤
I had no 2 small solar light put around my garden and im upgrading the battery put 5000mah -10000mah smartphone battery its last until the morning with full light on mode i love it even qith heavy rain every night its still working fine for the safety i put silicone glue around circuit board cap gap
New Subscriber. I’m researching building my own solar battery backup “generator”. I’ve only bought local & Amazon, never Temu or Ali-Baba. I like your humor and that you do a great review without dragging it out. That large lamp would never last through a downpour / wind at my house in Eastern PA. Too much weight handing out on a small mount. I do like the option of having the solar cells separate from the lamp. I have garden / walkway solar lights that get sun in the summer, but not during the winter sun angle. Look forward to watching other reviews for items I’m considering buying.
I've got number 2 x 4 pack excellent 👌 covers our entire backyard perfectly, the sensor's pick up when our pets go out for a tinkle then turn off. The adjustable & detachable bracket allows you to take them off & position them in the sun to get better charge if need be. Really enjoy your show.
I would definately go with the four pack. I like that they are smaller yet still bright, and more of them to place around the yard or what have you! Cool solar light video!
reviews on the 4 pack say that you have to be really close to the lights to use the remote. best to label lights and remotes to remember which one is which
Just a personal preference, I don't like leaving things connected to my car unattended. If I were to be gone for a few weeks and wanted to keep the battery topped up, I would disconnect the negative terminal on the battery and connect one of the panels straight to the battery itself.
I had some of #2 and they didn’t last long in the weather. I bought #4 and the motion sensor works great in the shed with the solar panel hanging outside and the 2nd of that pack works well on the area over the garbage bins
I had them in the cleanest spot I could for video purposes. I made sure they were all fully charged before filming that part. And i did the water test to simulate being outside during a rainstorm. I really just didnt have a better spot to film at this time
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial So how well did they "recharge" under the roof? And the last time I saw rain, it came down from the clouds, not up (unless you were simulating a typhoon or hurricane)...
I was so looking forward to the video, as I was very interested in solar panels. I was really hoping there would have been more panel types tried. I suppose you don't want to be stuck with a bunch of junk though. Thanks for testing what you did.
Since those lights are COB's if you're worried about water and corrosion you could open them up and clear coat the circuit board and hot melt glue the cable connections to waterproof them.
I have a similar like last one from temu for 2,50€(with discount) I have it outside and it's get wet and work so good for the last 6 months. Also it's very bright.
You should use the charger because the panel can produce more than 12v at times and could damage your battery. The charger regulates and makes the charging more efficient
the specific solar charger is a great choice at that cost, i have 3 of them and the one worked for 1.5-2 years about 24/7 and never had issue but if you want to make a good solar system go for MPPT chargers but they are kind of expensive 80+ bucks
A word of warning about those blue charge controllers: they have a tendency to output well over 15 volts if the battery loses connection, which can cause severe damage to electronics that are attached. You're better off getting a charge controller with much stricter limits. I found this out myself when I bought one off Amazon to put in my car. While I was testing it, I had it attached to a battery and nothing else. Pulling one of the leads off makes the voltage output on the charge controller skyrocket to 18-22v, when it should not exceed 15v. I ended up returning it because it could very easily kill my car had I installed it and someone disconnected the battery
It doesn't matter what the solar input voltage is, the charge controller output should NEVER exceed what is safe for the intended system (12v, 24v etc). If it does, it should be avoided like the plague
Have been into temu solar for a while, I actually have everything you show in the video, except the 1st one....the 1 from Amazon is sold on temu as well, and I can assure you it will def work and hold up in the rain....actually they all do, the only thing that affects them is of course cloudy days, and when we had 65mph winds it moved them around a bit, but then you just readjust them and they are fine...but if you get at least 2.5 to 3 straight cloudy days, they just can't keep up....but honestly I would sat well worth the money...
First thing to do when buying solar lights off discount places replaced the rechargeable batteries were Panasonic 😂 number two make sure that the case is sealed cuz nothing comes a rubber gaskets like the high-end stuff that you will pay $100+ for a solar light but in all reality you'll spend more than $100 buying crappy ones over time expected to last more than one season especially if you leave the cheap yellow top battery in it lol
The first solar light that you showed it cames in diferent wats Starts from 10w 20w 30w and so on . 20 dollars for that is expensive. In Philippines the same light cost's 250peso that's around 4 dollars . On Lazada or shopee .
I've ordered many different lights from temu and Amazon the 4 pack is great at first but in 3 orders 1 to 3 lights were doa on opening or on the first week. I have temu with separate solar panel that was 12 bucks still working and bright has that same remote. I have a pack of stand alone lights where the light is angl😅ed down and the solar panel on top of the 8 i got 6 still charging regularly after a year those from temu. They are all a crap shoot no matter who you order from the cheapest i got from temu and it was the brighter and longest lasting of the bunch. I use that one over the pool for night swimming so stays on overnight for a couple hours without triggering the sensor needed. I have one also that has blinking light but usually means battery needs charge so i leave it in the sun these won't charge unless in the on position like solar walkway lights just fyi.
He doesn't post links because people can then read the reviews. And there are a lot of dissatisfied people, because the maximum that these solar panels can produce is 3 watts.
i love solar i hate solar items. Use to be they weathered so quickly I felt cheated. At one point, you're trying to weather proof them to extend expected lifespan. For the most part, you get what you pay for . . don't go ultra cheap or ultra expensive, and reviews that come back or start from six months to a year later better than day one only.
If it has AAA batteries in it or AA batteries it only gets so bright honestly put some panasonic batteries in it right away you'll have the max performance and time with the light on this batteries that come with all these products are garbage
@UnboxAnalysisOfficial this was to be 5000 watt street light that cover up to 4200 sq feet. I received a 3000-watt light that rarely covers 400 sq feet at 20 high
@UnboxAnalysisOfficial yes put I had an installer but one up before he noticed it wrong watts compared to what I bought. Has to be returned in original condition or only 50% back. That's not worth effort
I have the 2nd pack you opened and they are still working perfectly after 6 months, I got them for £4.50 each from Temu in the UK..
Pound for pound, a good deal then ?
why did he say the batteries would last longer because of dimming modes? arent they solar?
There is no solar power at night where i live, so they would have to run on battery at night. @Katiekay.
Why not just take the pictures of the listing when you buy the item

Hey I appreciate it! Welcome to the channel
Me too! Its like unbox therapy, but with someone who actually knows roughly how things work and can test them more effectively.
I have #2 up on my camper for a year now. Rain. Snow. And still waiting good
I’m so glad you did this because I’ve been looking at the solar panels on Temu but have been hesitant!
Same!!
Buy a decent brand that will last years. All that stuff he shows is trash and won't work after a season.

Already discontinued :-(

If you want to go nuts before you seal the light put in a desiccant pack for condensation removal.

Nice job with the second set. Waiting for mine to arrive
I'd have to go with #1. Need a light in my shed with a solar charger outside. The shed will protect it from the rain.
Those plastic anchors are also used for cement.
Good call, completely didnt even think of that.

Sounds great.. but How long would it last on a full charge..
@@dwayneballadin4842I've run them for about 4 hours, tested with multimeter 3.6v. I have them set for 30s on then off sensor, good for the $$.

Agreed tons of great uses

Nice work love the video I was the one that requested this to you
i use the second set of 4. just cover the toggle switch with duck tape and flex seal them cause cheape lights tend to oxidate faster.
So in England we have this thing called stone/ brick we build our houses with it them dry wall plugs "wall plugs" help hold stuff in the brick aswell
I thought solar panels should be IN THE SUN to get the best charging...
Why you hide the solar lamps in the overhang?
I had them in the cleanest spot I could for video purposes. I made sure they were all fully charged before filming that part. And i did the water test to simulate being outside during a rainstorm. I really just didnt have a better spot to film at this time

Interesting. I have indoor solar lights, haven't put a ceiling light on for 5 years!
19:45 Amps is more important. Like you show 1/2 Amp is not very much. Then Volts x Amps for Watts is not as advertised
Yeah they usually aren't. Its nice that they work and can vary the voltage depending on the output needed. But otherwise not amazing for the price.
@UnboxAnalysisOfficial what was the stated watts of the panels from temu?
I was so looking forward to the video, as I was very interested in solar panels. I was really hoping there would have been more panel types tried. I suppose you don't want to be stuck with a bunch of junk though.
Thanks for testing what you did.
Hi, a question, can multiple solar panels can be connected to the controller in order to have more charge?
Likely a couple could be, but these cheaper controllers could be easily overloaded
Oh.. Allright, thanks for the info!
Temu is the best online platform
What the link for #2
Since those lights are COB's if you're worried about water and corrosion you could open them up and clear coat the circuit board and hot melt glue the cable connections to waterproof them.
Where is the amazon link to purchase light number 2?
Link from Pigs in Space ?

They already do sell some power stations. I havent tried any yet, since before they were all European plugs.
