He was sparing with Bob Shapoff... I spent much time in that Dojo with Sensei Mori... my favorite was, after class we would go just downstairs and have a beer with him... I nice nice man... always a gentleman... This brought back sooooo many memories...I was a young guy. One time I found myself on the floor sparing with Bob Shapoff and was feeling really cocky... throwing all kinds of fancy kicks at him, pulling all kinds of moves on him thinking "wow I'm better than Bob", and I guess at some point he got tired of my antics, with one blinding move he planted a front kick right to my solar plexus... and down I went! Thanks for posting this.

Hi. My dad used to train under Mr Mori and would tell me stories about Bob Shapoff. Don't suppose you recall training with a guy named John Briganti?

@@briganro I have a faint memory of that name... but nothing solid. Besides Bob Shapoff, there was sort of his counter part at the dojo name Joey Gayole. They were friends and sort of the big brothers to many. My brain is struggling. I want to say I knew a 'John Briganti'. If I could see his face I might have some info.
Wait a sec.... John Briganti? Did he also/or start his training in Flatbush Brooklyn with Harvey Cohen at Harbey's dojo on Church ave.? I think.
