I'm 2 years late to your video but I just realized the reason it's a crimson sphere is to link to the symbolism of an apple falling from the sky. Also I think Kat split herselc like the Nevi somehow to make Raven but its hard to prove lol
Thx for this ! Great analysis. From this I suppose the gravity shifter, like Raven or in part the girlfriend schoolgirl which become part Nevi in the first game, are born from a conflict between light and dark, but in their own heart ? Dusty and Crow would be the symbol of a traumatic experience both Raven and Kat lived, making this original conflict still a thing but in the mind of the being born from it. What a poetic world.
thank you so much for this! I've only played gravity rush 1 (don't have a ps4) and you answered so many lingering questions that haunted me after so many years!
wow, only 500 views?? Man, both you and the game deserve better. And while I can personally see why it's a niche franchise (I mean: confusing plot seemingly lacking purpose for the 1st half of the 2nd game, weird/awkward controls for new players, uneven pacing, questionable side quests), I believe it's WAY too niche - the franchise has a soul that most modern games lack. Especially AAA ones.
I don't think that any of the 3 creators is Saghassi becuase none of them seem to be able to move freely between Jirga Para Lhao and Hekseville, they say several times in the game that don't have that much power or influence in the world actually. My theory is that Saghassi is either Singlor or Nala. At least Singlor said that he has been moving around the world for centuries and that he percives the time different form the rest of the humans (he explains Kat that he might know things that haven't happend yet, according to other people's perspective) he also knows that the world was being eaten by the darkness even before being lost in time. Furthermore, most of their locations are unreachable for an average person, both of them appear in Voutome and even in the rift planes, acording to Gade this suppose to be impossible, so there's evidence that they can be anywhere, at any moment and in any reality.
Pretty good explanation, I believed that the crimson sphere was an egg due to its shape and also how the inside of the pillar is referred to as a bone. Buy this makes much more sense
I just have one question. The story told by the paintings goes against what the guardian inside of Cyanea told Kat in the first game. She said that Cyanea was the creator of the world. And that the world was the manifestation of her dreams
Yes the story of the paintings contradicts what the Dream Guardian told Kat in the first game but maybe the writers of the game intended this for fan speculation. If ever we get a sequel, hopefully the world's lore is better explained.
I mean, there's nothing saying that she didn't dream this entire process, like how in Hinduism the eternal cycle of Universal/Multiversal creation (of which there are multiple, wildly different variations - including at least one with a Cosmic Egg that greatly resembles a fantasy version of the Big Bang/Crush with a God who expands the universe and an Asura who fights against him to contract it - since Hinduism is basically a bunch of religions smooshed together) is a part of the dream of Brahman, the cosmic consciousness of which all things are infintesimal aspects of. Heck, the fact that they named major characters "Brahman," "Kali," and "Durga" seems to indicate that Hinduism was a major influence on Gravity Rush, with The Darkness basically functioning in a role similar to the Asura Vritra, who fights against the God Indra (though he's no longer treated as a Creator-tier God) to return the cosmos back to the Cosmic Egg (in that creation myth), which would hatch into a new world, which was essentially what the The Darkness said it's plan was.
@@lnsflare1 That makes a lot of sense actually. Hinduism does seem like a big influence on the game. When I first played through it, the names Kali and Durga stuck out to me. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that like the Hindu goddess Kali of destruction, Kali in GR2 was a force of destruction in the end… Wow. Interesting.
One of the most criminally underrated games this gen
Meekail hell yea it is
Absolutely agreed

Andrei Martinez This is exactly why I love this game. Not only for the gameplay but the intriguing and forever interesting story behind it
