Even though the story of Babylon's Tower is so short in the bible, it still fascinates me so much. Its always depicted in a negative light, but one can only wonder What were the people's fears? Their dreams? Their hopes? Its such a beautiful tragedy.
I really like the interpretation implicit in the XVII Major Arcana of the Tarots. It's a tower that crumbles/opens up, with people dying or dancing away. Traditionally it means catastrophe but also revelation: some kind of inevitable epiphany that disrupts what was before. I think it deepens how the Tower of Babel was both a punishment, but also an incredible divine revelation of the richness of all the languages that were bestowed upon mankind : )
@@omgodification you welcome! I forgot to mention the tarot is either named "The Tower" or "La Maison Diev", which could translate to "The House-God" or maybe "The House of God". Definitely strengthens the hypothesis that there was an intended link to the Bible!

This is fucking genius.
Ravel would be proud
A truly beautiful album, there are not enough words in any language to describe its flow and feeling.
I just noticed that the beginning of this likely inspired Elden Ring's Volcano Manor theme!
I really like this album.
23:57 I'm pretty sure her leitmotiv for Tales of the blood is Consolation No 3 by Franz Liszt
This is music school.
18:40 This should say "Tale of the FLOOD", not "Blood".
THANK YOU SO MUCH, this is one of my favourite albums.
LOVE THIS!!
Hidden tribute to Daphnis & Chloe, Maurice Ravel.
On point!
I can also hear some Mahler vibes here and there
Thanks for sharing this album!
15:14 this part sounds like it is strongly based on English Suite no.2 by Bach
probably, yoko has a history of ripping off other artists
First part is also based on Daphnis et Chloe
@@ubu6420she's adapted from a bunch of classical music it seems
why is first track's melody so familiar?
Where can I buy this?
I guess only in Japan
Get a ouija board and sell your soul to whatever demon answers your call
In the Yoko Kanno reddit i've read someone say that 'The Creation' is the rarest and most expensive album from her full catalog.
I haven't been able to find any way to purchase a copy of this but I did find some archives people have made
