When I was younger my Uncle was a patient here. I was maybe 5-10 when we would drive to KPPC to pick him up for the weekend. I think he was in the quad. Sad what's become of the place. I don't want to say fond memories but that place will always be part of my childhood
5:17 - I was standing in this exact location in the quad last weekend! It's amazing (in a sad way) how deteriorated the insides of these building are! Nearly unrecognizable! I think the state should try to do something to preserve these buildings. Maybe not do anything to the interior so much, but maybe some new roofing to keep the weather out. The place is an absolute sight to see and think everything should be done to preserve the remaining buildings and history of the place! Where else you can you co walk around or ride a bike and be surrounded by so many historical buildings? I should upload my video sometime...Actually I already uploaded my drone video.
I work for the park at that location and honestly they should just demolish those buildings, but the question remains on what to do with all the land then
