The soft kill APS mainly counters/disrupt wire guided ATGMs with laser guidence (mouse guided) but doesnt disrupt missiles like SS-11's or any other key guided ATGMs and i think barrel launched ATGMs

And the ammunition it fires is accurate.
Unfortunately for BMP-2M it blows up from a wet fart targeted roughly in its area. PUMA on the other hand, can easily tank multiple APHE shells, sustained 30mm fire, a non-Tandem ATGM to the face and even most of the low-medium powered autocannons from jets. The fact PUMA gets a crystal-clear thermal imager and a 30x zoom (not to mention a laser rangefinder) at 8.3 when most of the Soviet tanks barely get their stabilizers and 1st-gen nightvision is fucking stupid. BMP-2M should not be at 8.7, but rather 9.0 as well as this PUMA. In fact, I consider this vehicle worthy of 9.7 if it ever gets SPIKEs, if not 10.0. I mean 1956's EBR fighting IS-3 from 1947 for stupid enough, PUMA is from 2016! And BMP-2M, while a good glass cannon is from 2013! One thing is having good weapons and literally zero armor, having insane armor and good weapons is the other!

this thing is stupidly survivable, ate my ATGM like it was nothing, bouncing my APFSDS like 70% of the time (maybe I was extremely unlucky), stock tanks with HEATFS are literally their meal since they have ERA and extremely sloped front, not to mention the APFSDS belt and can break my cannon in less than 1s

It's only .3 BRs above the warrior which has no stabilizer, no armor, a slower firing gun with no apfsds, and no stabilizer, and a missile that's super slow. Makes perfect sense

I can destroy it rather easily if the hull is visible. If the hull is done though you can shoot the area/box next to the gun. The ammunition is there. It won't detonate the tank but there'll be no rounds to fire. They do dominate the battefield in groups though. Definitely won't stay 8.3.
This thing is blatantly OP. It needs to go up to 9.3-9.7 ASAP. Trying to play against this thing with DM23 is abysmal. Edit: after realizing how fast it is, 10.0

Just yesterday in my games with Yedi and Sneak, Yedi told us that he was a hundred or so thousand RP away from the Puma and isn't consistently grinding. Seeing this, I couldn't be happier to see him play it with you :3 With regards to BR balancing, imagine Gaijin bringing the Puma and Begleit up to like 9.0+ and keeping the BMP-2M at 8.7 -Icy 3-1
its just gonna get better when bug report on this vehicle get fixed. the KLARA ERA should be able to withstand 2 HEAT shell and has 120mm KE protection. the lower composite block should also has 120KE protection. the MUSS work 360 not the front only so it should work even when you arent looking at the missile. frontal armor should be stronger as well, 120mm + protection same with the lower plate. AHEAD should work like HEVT since this has optical tracker and it should work against missile or atgm as well. if gaijin implement the spike or mells atgm as simple tandem atgm it should be at least 10.7.

Well hopefully the more we spam out puma's the faster it gets put at a higher BR. Quite dissapointing once again that they kept it's DEV server BR. You'd think they would have learned from their previous multiple undertiering mistakes like PT76-57, harriers, saggittario, EBR's etc... The cycle repeats.
10.0 is where that thing belongs more like. Another clear reason I'm not going past 5.3 in my own lineup.

Gaijin didn't learn from the Strf 9040B being introduced at 8.3 I see. Should have been introduced at 9.0 at the minimum.
the B was pretty balanced at 8.3. Its slow with no armor and only the single gun.

Ok man, let’s not go that far lol. Tow 2Bs are 9.3 and freaking Krizentema missiles, the missiles with the highest pen + tandem, are 8.3 + 8.7 respectively.

I have no idea what they were thinking putting that thing at 8.3 haha. Almost everyone that has hard IRCM agrees that it is a gimmick at top tier but that tier it just works. 9.3-9.0 soon
