She seems to have lost her mind... but as a former high school teacher I have a great amount of sympathy for her. There is constant pressure being placed on teachers to find creative and imaginative ways to “engage students in learning.” I left the field after 20 years of teaching high school social studies because I was afraid that I was losing my mind.

Some of you never seem to have gone to public school. Almost every teacher does something like this to engage and get the attention of the students. Whether it be some dance or rhyme. This is just sad people are so sensitive

We did stuff like this in school back in the 80's and nobody cried over it, not even the parents of my native American classmates. In fact, sometimes one of them would take a day off work and come in the week of Thanksgiving and tell us about growing up on a native American reservation while our hand drawn pictures of brown people adorned in feathered headdresses shaking hands with white people in pilgrim hats lined the classroom walls. It was wonderful, amazing, we all learned so much, and nobody took offense.
The fact that there are people like this that use these kind of methods are educating our youth. It truly is terrifying.

The woman just found a creative and memorable way to teach some math concepts. If she was "mocking" anyone, it was herself. She made a spectacle of herself in order to help her students, and she was punished for it. Don't know what happened to her, but hope she is doing OK these days.

Also I dot get it that if somebody dress up at Halloween in a Chinese, Japanese or other culture's dress is racist as well. none of those nations find it racist but left-wings Americans.
