Tip To stop that splash of water. Before unplugging the filter you should close the valve. This will create a pressure for when you reconnect the tubs the filter will fill up with tank water under pressure.
Thanks for the video, couple of suggestions/thoughts…I doubt the bacteria on the wall of the filter is a big deal at all (if it’s even alive, some bacteria requires flowing water to even keep it alive iirc), wash the media in some aquarium water siphoned from tank. Tank looks great!
No. Get a faucet that has a spray mode with a higher psi. Wash your canister with chlorinated tap water but time it to where you aren’t doing maintenance on your HOB filter at the same time. Fill canister back up with water after clean, add decorator and sachem stability (or quick start) and you’re good. People underestimate the tenacity of beneficial bacteria and the swiftness when using a supplement.
Hey does it leak?? Also how regularly do we have change the impeller , orings or any other parts??. I am a bit confused between this and eheim 2217. Which should I go for??
You shouldn't have to change those parts as they'll last years. Clean the impeller periodically. Rinse your media and sponges lightly, preferably not by pouring water over it. The 2217 is a great filter also, and the newer pro 4 filters as they hold more media than this fluval.
I’ve noticed that the water flow reduces quite quickly. Is that normal? My filter is only running for 6 weeks (next to my eheim filter). Can’t see any excessive debris in the filtermedia. I’m not happy with the reduced flow rate.
Me too I'm becoming insane with this, I have two 307 and one work great and one not even after clean. I have a flowerhorn and I need a power filtration, the filter is new!

How many liters have this aquarium?
Cuantos litros tiene ese acuario?
Fluval 407👌😍
I thought you have to wash the media etc in the tank water?in a bucket.
That’s what I do.
@@diane5522not particularly necessary if ur tap water doesnot contain chlorine, and even if it does just a quick wash is not gonna do much harm

how often do you clean the filters
Usually a general rule is FX series canisters: 1-2 times a year. 07 series: every 3/4 months maybe depending on the stock of your tank.
Phosphate and carbon pads should be replaced not re usable.
My fluval 307 lost power even after a super clean
Who is this gay??? Asking for a friend
