Another triumph for Jeff. Nobody does this type of comparison of trim levels. Better than the Whiteboard even. Very clear. What they all have standard, what's different. Doesn't miss a feature. Comprehensive.

ROOF OPTION NOTE: If you opt for the $1400 Star Gaze moonroof, the silver roof rails are deleted in the Limited trim (the only trim for which it is available).
SIDE MIRROR NOTE: Limited Package includes electric side folding side mirrors with puddle lamps that illuminate and project the word “VENZA” onto the pavement below.

Hi, I am intrigued by Venza and the details and features in the vehicle. But I am just curious. Limited Venza is in the Acura RDX zone price wise. Have you considered it? What made you choose Venza over Acura or Lexus? Thanks.

    • @kellygast
      @kellygast 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

@@mephi5t0 I just saw your question, and thought I'd answer it since I just contemplated this exact decision...and just purchased the Venza Limited last Saturday :-)
      1) I like the all wheel drive. We will be moving to the Ashville area, and the all wheel drive will be helpful. It's standard on the Venza, and $2,000 more for the RDX. That said, my parents live there already - and love their RDX even without the AWD.
      2) As far as I could find (right now in 2021), the RDX is not available as a hybrid - I had to step up to the MDX...and that added quite a bit to the cost...especially if I wanted it with AWD. And I really wanted a hybrid.
      3) I needed the extra space available in the back seat of the Venza - it's slightly bigger than the RDX. The RDX gives the driver/front passenger that extra room. I'm 5'9" so I'm comfortable with what the Venza has in the front.
      4) Really, personal taste played a part - I love the look of the Venza. And I love that it's not all that common of a car.
      5) When the car ages, repairs on Toyotas and Hondas are less than Lexus and Acura.
      4) Moving up to Lexus from Toyota - or from Honda to Acura - you're buying up to a name and perceived prestige (not a thing wrong with that!), but it just ended up not being that important to me.
These are just my thoughts and opinions, such as they are :-) Good luck in your shopping....the research is part of the fun :-)

Just got a limited model with advanced technology package. would 100% recommend. i was debating between rav4 and venza and test drove both. my mom has a camry hybrid and the venza drove more similar to that. the rav4 felt slower and more weighed down to me. i loved them both, but the venza felt more luxurious and fun to me. great video! was debating between xle and limited for a long time but ultimately decided the digital mirror, birds eye camera, HUD, and all the upgrades i wouldve gotten for the XLE was worth the extra thousand dollars.

Great video, Jeff! We're leasing a 2021 Limited Venza, Hybrid-best car we've ever had! The main thing that had kept my husband from from getting a hybrid Toyota before, was not realizing HOW MUCH extra power the 4 cylinder engine gets from the Eco boost mode from the Hybrid battery! We love Toyotas, especially the top end Camrys-just like getting Lexus, for LOTS less money. Add the financial boost of leasing-
You just can't beat the deal.
After trying top-of-the line Acuras (totally overpriced & under performing- instead of a spare tire, Honda put in a can of FIX-A-FLAT!!) we headed back to the Toyota dealership...We had ordered another top trim MDX, but after waiting 6 months, the Acura salesmen said that they didn't have the one we had put a big deposit on, but we might like to look at one MDX that was nowhere near what we had ordered-
    back to Toyota!
Luckily they had just gotten in a Rose Gold Titanium Venza, Limited with the Technical Package- so beautiful, and an absolute joy to drive! The Moon gaze roof is amazing, the puddle lights, and everything else -especially the 12.3 inch screen & the air conditioned & heated ventilated seats, the sound system- after a quick test drive that same night, the lease was signed!!*
The get up & GO, compared with the clunky transmission MDX, quickly impressed us! It's been nothing less than a joy to drive! We easily get over 40 mpg-without even trying! The heads up display keeps us informed of the changing speed limits... Everything about the 2021 Limited Hybrid Venza is SO impressive!
The only question I have is- Why do we almost NEVER see any advertising from Toyota, about this wonderful car? And in this first year of the lease, why have we only seen 2 of these awesome cars, in a city with tons of expensive cars? I really would like to hear Toyota's explanation for the absurd lack of advertising for the best value, technology & just all around joy to drive, the Venza? Thankyou for the great video- & can't wait to hear an explanation!

After watching your vid I'm now strongly leaning towards the Toyota. I need to do one more "drive off" and see what I like best. One hang up on going Toyota mignt be the color options. I really really love either the Blue or Red but BOTH are "sold -out" on the main site. I'm going to be ordering either way as I'm not in a rush to get a new car. Suggestions welcomed!

We bought one of these in LE trim for my wife in May, and so far there are only two things that I don't like about it. Otherwise, it is an amazing ride.
    1. I am a tall guy (6' 4"), and the front door opening is so small that I have to duck my head when getting in and out. Since this car was bought for my wife who is average size and has no issues, I don't really count this one as a major problem, but wanted to point it out in case anyone tall out there is thinking about buying this car for themselves. Once I am inside, I am really comfortable. It's just the opening that is an issue (specifically ceiling is too low).
    2. Recently the 12 volt outlet stopped working, and I am pretty sure that it is just the fuse that went out. The problem is that the manual only shows you where all the fuse boxes are, but does not provide a diagram of which fuse is for what. There are 3 fuse boxes (two in the engine bay, and one under the steering wheel column inside the cabin), and only one of the fuse box covers in the engine bay has a diagram (which is not fully self-explanatory). The other two fuse boxes don't give any info whatsoever.

We didn’t go with the Venza due to the height limitation! My husband is also 6’ 4”. I loved it but it wasn’t practical.

Jeff, this is a great review! Very helpful, and I think I'd choose the limited. Question for you: which of all Toyota vehicles do you think has the softest and most comfortable seats, as well as the softest and most forgiving/comfortable ride? I'm looking for something very soft and comfortable.

Got the Limited in Coastal Grey no moon roof (didn't want it) I'm short and the liftgate is adjustable to stop at several levels, no more jumping up to lower it, I've got it in my reach! :) I love my Venza. One complaint, the projection headlights have a spot in them and it's driving me nuts.

Moonroof is literally not a bad idea, it just serves as additional window.

Thanks for the video. I would suggest that you aim for split screens in editing when you are showing us the difference between trim levels for a certain part of the car, e.g. the wheels. Nothing is better than seeing the three different wheels on the same screen.

I prefer the controls of the le/xle over the limited. Knobs instead of mulit push button. I don't want a huge screen in the way either.

My 2010 Toyota Prius with 250,000 miles serve serve me well. It is running up repair bills into the thousands that I can't justify.
I'm favoring the Venza LE with Premium audio. Wonder if the car has a remote starter. I uses that everyday.
Very helpful in winter time because the engine will be warm already and I just have to turn on the instant heat.
    Thank you, Jeff. Excellent video.

It has remote start on the Limited. Connection Services offers remote start as well which can be utilized from your phone on the Venza app. This option unfortunately DOES expire I believe in one year from date if purchase and then you pay for it. I believe with the other options that are included, it is worth paying for!

The XLE is my choice with the softex package, without the upgrade infotainment (want clamitecontrol buttons). Best bang for the buck as far as I'm concerned, because of the needed comfort for empty nesters grandparents, in comfort and saving on gas! Peace-Out....

    • @MrPetrello

@@MrPetrello My bad...I don't have the; that's the package and the equipment that I would get.
Just looking at the specs; all levels have soft text sets; no real leather seats at all.
