I absolutely love the alternate ending of "except for in my dreams" compared to "but that don't bother me", because it so obviously bothers the protagonist of the song. It's such a small change, but a very candid revelation at the same time. This song never fails to make me choke up, and I love how sweetly melancholic of a picture it's able to paint in such a short amount of time.
Dougs small changes to lyrics during a live set are always so profound. And it's always just with the changing of a single word, or the rearranging of one in front of the other this time, and it takes on all new meanings with all these layers and it's like sometimes you'll ask is it even on purpose every time and then you'll understand that it doesn't even matter.
It's interesting how much his mannerisms and stage presence changed over the years, he's largely motionless when he's playing these days - and has been as long as I can remember - but he's full of nervous energy here

Oh man this would of been such a cool show
The 1995 lineup with bertram and schneider was my favourite, sucks that I was only 2 years old, would love to see that live
Was it the first time you felt blue?
Perfect footage perfect band perfect song
I can always tell how old a video is by where doug's hairline is
It's like reverse tree rings or carbon dating
Though as far back as I've seen Doug has always looked like someone's uncle, no matter how old he was.
@@prettycolors2 Beyond accurate
@@prettycolors2 Uncle Doug! Born an uncle confirmed lol
@@gage585No matter how many children your siblings have, you'll always be someone's uncle. :,)
Wow! Love how these two songs mesh together on the record and this performance is just perfect. Made my day. Thank you for sharing!
Looks like this was when James and Dave from Lync were in the group
I was born in 2000 but I love this
