Really enjoyed that Ben, totally agree with how the movie affects you. I was 11 when it premiered here in the UK & it was unforgettable to me. Nothing comes near it to me, the setting, the cast, the soundtrack are all perfect. It's my number 1 & i can't see it being beaten to be honest, I'm 56 now so.....😂. Glad you are doing well,, love the channel, so keep em' coming. Happy Anniversary Salem's Lot ❤️.
Long live 1979's "Salem's Lot"!! I don't know why I was thinking it aired in October. That's really neat your Grandfather's birthday was on the same day of the release. You can't get any better than that. This video makes me pine over those past times when things were much simpler, and people communicated differently. Oh, man, do I miss David Soul on TV. Ben, I hate that you have the blues; I know that can be tough to wrestle with. Let us know if there's anything we can do.
Great video, Ben. It brings back a lot of memories for me. I was 8 when the film came out. I remember seeing it on Showtime right around this time period. Salem's Lot has always been very near and dear to my heart, much like yourself. I'm looking forward to your upcoming book. Take care and be well. 🙏
Hello Ben I hope all is good with you. I have really enjoyed watching your videos for some time now. But especially the Salems lot ones. It too is one of my favourites. I watched it when I was 10 years old, and just loved it. When in school after seeing it, nobody in my year that I spoke to saw it, I guess I was lucky my mum let me see it. I have to say, in those days, if you missed it on tv, you just had to wait until it came on again. My mum used to shout up to my brother and me, we would be in bed sleeping, and she would let us come down to watch any sci fi films that were on, or hammer horror, outer limits etc etc. This would even be the case on a school night, as long as we got up on time for school. This is why I love sci fi and horror so much. My favourite film is Thing from another world. Anyway, I appreciate all your time and effort you put into making your videos, I do love them. I live in Yorkshire, England. Sending my best regards to you and your family, and your wider horror family. Take care now. John.
Great video and footage from Ferndale Ben. That music score and those scratching noises are iconic and still as scary and eerie now as they were 40 years ago. I keep picturing in my mind Straker saying 'Good evening!' whenever I hear that music clip. 👍
Great vid Ben. It's sad that most of the cast are no longer with us they brought the fictional town of Salem's Lot to life and it feels like a real community which just adds another layer of authenticity.
Great video, that music is so good and when I hear it I know what scene its from. Loved the ending with the Marsden house with you guys at the foot of it :) Oh and its an old friend to me too. I remember as a kid after watching it going looking for anything I could on it..all I could find was the UK movie tie-in book which I still have. I also remember feeling as a 13 year old i'd love to walk around in that town if it existed..... :)
I would have finally met you guys and been up there with the crew last month, but was dealing with employment and legal issues. Making the pilgrimage up to Ferndale is still on my destination list. Thank you for posting this! This is the best footage I've seen of the cemetery that will always be Harmony Hill to me as a Stephen King fan.
Intro to this gave me chills....Good for you for trying to get an official Anniversary event. I really want to get up there sometime to Ferndale and a plus being close to Loleta, CA where HIII was shot. This was great. Location footage was AWESOME. I wonder if Sean Clark would be interested in teaming up with you guys for the 50th....
apologies Ben FORTH comment! have u seen the 1986 movie directed by the late great director Wes Craven called "Deadly Friend"? it's similar to the 1984 nightmare on elm street movie! brilliant film loosely based on the Frankenstein story but in a modern day(80s!) version!
cabt beleive how long ago this was! no matter wot its my "go too" comfort movie! and lance 😍😍😍😍
God bless lance

Great tribute Ben. Thanks!
Are there many residents still there who lived there in 79?
3rd comment! whare did u get the book of SL Ben? the one with Mike Ryerson aka Geoffrey Lewis on front cover? I want a copy as it looks really good! x
45 years later the kid at the window still scares me 👍

Would it be considered evil to put a Danny Glick tombstone in the cemetery? How bout someplace around the cemetery? Cemetery etiquette isn't my thing.
