Ive been playing flute in band for 4 years and ive been wanting to play sleigh ride, the year i stopped doing banned they played sleigh ride 😭 u did amazing tho
I watched your last video and I loved seeing how much you improved. I’m planning on playing piccolo for fun next year and since flute and piccolo are so similar do you have any tips I should use before I start? If so that would be great.
Of course!! I started playing piccolo two years ago but realllly started playing last year. I would say play confidently! I know it’s scary because it’s exposed and high, but playing timidly will only hurt your sound and tone, so it’s better to be confident and loud! If your director tells you to tone it down you’re doing good. The embouchure is similar but smaller, don’t necessarily think tighter because that’s the natural instinct, but smaller and more precise. I recommend rolled the head joint slightly outward, this makes it easier to hit high notes past F above the staff. I used to only be able to make sounds up to an F, but now I can play up to a Bb easily. Good luck and I hope this helpssss
As a clarinet player I'm crying inside deeply hearing them not move together in between notes 😭😭
the flute hat is adorablee
