fuck me I just caught that too. looked like maybe 12ft or so wonder how they didn't notice. I've seen two sharks in the last week, one maybe 6ft don't know what it was not a wobegong it was a shark shaped shark, I dove down and rode it's tail until it spun around and scared me haha but it was slimy not like the sandpaper style skin of sharks I usually try and ride so don't know what it was. two days later me and one other mate surfing, just us, I thought I was seeing my shadow then I looked up at the sun and realised it wasn't, watched as it came right under me(that's not a coincidence it was checking me out), but was swimming really slow so I said we should stay out, then ten minutes later we'd been swept down the beach maybe 200mtrs and it followed us and started circling us. 10ft white pointer fitting the exact description of a shark that attacked someone less than a km away 3 days earlier. I've had a few other mates see it too so I'm not for shark culling but I think we might have a rogue at Byron and I think it should be taken care of. I'd never been hunted before it was an eery feeling

I got to the level where I was comparing myself with people on the tour. eg I've beaten Kerzy more times than I can count, we used to right him off for trying airs so much(look who's laughing now hey), beaten Julian Wilson many times, this was when we were doing the pro junior series in Australia so a while ago. I was doing what they call forehand backflips before I'd ever seen one I thought they were just really tweaked out air reverses, but now days I'm blown away by Jon Jon and Toledo. man I wanna ride one of toledo's boards they look so responsive and light. fuck he's good. my hat goes off to those two gentlemen in particular. so much fun to watch and so inspired to go out and get back at it again cos it's been a while due to injuries
