SAVAGE CAR when you park it up open the bonnet and twist the knobs to rise the POP UPs manually looks twice as cool when parked in the drive way one thing though That Sunroof centainly isnt standard LOVING IT WELL DONE
944S/S2 & Turbo were manual only 😉 Aftermarket sunroof is as hideous as the stereo. Have an S myself (crashed my S2), the 16V mainly make it more expensive to get parts, but love it anyways.
Nice, I love a 944. Looked at quite a few but never committed to one. Check the rear of the sills and where the sills meet the floorpan underneath. It will have already been welded there (they rust badly), so just make sure its sound and keep on top of treating any corrosion coming through again. Have fun - this is going to be a nice classic to work on and enjoy.
Watching with interest, they look good value and to be fair they’re still a Porsche. I drove a neighbour’s 16v car when I was much younger and came away impressed then. I must head off the the Bay of E for some man maths window shopping!
That beautiful motor Joe is crying out for the new updated Blaupunkt Bremen.. It’s quite pricey at £299 but gives you all the mod cons with that 80s look and the added bonus being mechless it will fit in the dash perfectly without trapping any wiring behind.
Great choice, I've always thought they would make a superb modern classic daily, fancied one myself since they were launched and I was a teenager! Perfect head unit would be the Blaupunkt (Toronto?) DAB/Bluetooth retro reissue as they were standard when new, looking forward to seeing the progress.
I just drove a friend’s 944 and the clutch pedal travel was very far to the floor. I had to raise my knee high up to even begin the clutch pedal step. Is that normal for a 944? I much prefer a quick, short travel. Thank you and I appreciate the video.
I can't believe it a 35 year old Porche running well a bit of wear and tear oh l forgot back in the 1980s and 1990s they built cars to last a very long time and to do high mileages to go on and on without breaking down l do like the 944 a good looking car when these came out l thought porch were trying to get away from the volkswagon beetle look but no they still make porches especially the 911 that look like squashed vw beetles well l don't think you will see any porches built now in that in 35 years time still running
I’d like to challenge you to repair the bolster yourselves. I bought a kit from ColourLock, but haven’t used it yet. Perhaps you could show us how well it works or doesn’t work.
The sunroof is an awful after market glass sunroof - a proper 944 sunroof is electric, isn't glass, body coloured, can be removed and stored in the boot and there is also an aerodynamic lip that can be raised to reduce wind noise. Get rid of the ugly aftermarket stereo too - also the aerial is after market - the 944 aerial was built into the from windscreen with top tint. The gear stick has the wrong colour material too- plenty of jobs needed on this car. Also check the mirrors they should be heated
I live not far from WB and sons and have been to one of their auctions. A positive experience. It is also interesting to see the local roads on which I frequently travel!
What! You mean it's not an MG Maestro Turbo???!!
We certainly wouldn't say no to one!

What a car - light years ahead of its time - perfect classic

Love it! Be good to see it serviced, repaired, suspension refresh, seats sorted and get it back to a nice standard state.
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!! Can't wait to see more content on this. A true and honest car that is great for people of all levels to work on.
Thanks Will, stay tuned for plenty of Porsche content!

Job No.1 is get that chavvy number plate sorted out!
Otherwise, a nice car from the Golden Days
Used to have one and probably the most stupid thing I did was to get rid of it. Fantastic cars
but that Mitsubishi Starion sitting near de 944...
Funny seeing a line up of the 240z, 944 and Starion having owned all of them. Sadly, the most expensive one, the 240z, is also by far the worst one.

Wonderful, very exciting purchase!

Lovely, looking forward to this one's journey 😀👌
OMFG that roof hole, this car is totaled by this sole reason.
I agree . The Aftermarket sun roof is not good
Well, how much was it?
Lovely car👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Jimmy!
I discovered the 944 from the Casey Putsch youtube channel and it looks like a great car!

At least it's not a 911.

We're practically Newcastle residents ourselves these days!
You ought to have bought the Mitsubishi next to it. Way cooler.
