I learned today (dec. 26th) about Radio DJ Janice Long's death. She was always so enthusiastic about new music and was an early supporter of future stars such as the Smiths, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Pet Shop Boys, Adele and Amy Winehouse.
May her soul rests in peace.
As a "Yank" I've obviously never heard of her, but she sounded nice. Sad that she's no longer around.

I really found that part about protesting very interesting, particularly his example of CND, and using their violence to achieve their goals. I suppose in some sense, the mere existence of nuclear weapons is violence, as all weapons are built to be used, no? Why is violent protest by CND considered so much more vile than the implicit violence of nuclear arms?
