Great video! New player here, how do you get a full set of tempestuous? I thought it was a quest drop. Also opening the map right in front of thorpe is next level disrespect 😂
He had it coming! The Spectral Tempestuous set is thru the repeatable quest in the myrkgard cathedral given by Mara Rosa. You can easily get by with purple corrupted ward gear tho!

I mean, still impressive that he managed to pull so much stuff on his own, but for thorpe alone you'd be expected to be able to do that if you're a tank for higher mutations

@@johjoh9270 Normal depths yes, M1-4 maybe but M10 Thorpe is built different. Though that maybe a challenge for a different day 🤔
love the video, totally new to the game, would this build work leveling up and solo most content as i level or does it only work with BIS gear?
This build would work for leveling too. All you need is the appropriate ward for the enemy type you are fighting and trenchant recovery on your weapons. Follow my sns/wh trees to maximize sustain as a solo player. Once you've reached level 60 you can farm the weapons/armor to take on the end game zones, get level 60 ward and trenchant recovery pieces and you can slowly work your way to farming BiS legendary gear.

For soloing Myrk I think you could do GA instead of WH: enfeebling maelstrom - trenchant recovery (-25% dmg on enemies from maelstrom no reprive), can use anything you wish as 3rd perk, probs leeching, is what I used to run back when I had to solo stuff, tho since I mostly have a team available when am around I switched to enfeebling maelstrom + trenchant rend + plagued crits to maximize team dps uptime and effectiveness (could use lifesteal or keenly fortified but mostly got a healer anyway and comes handy too), plus since you're running alone don't really need carnelians, could switch gem to sapphire (on GA/WH since I understand too expensive to change infernus runeglass)
Edit: just read the comment below that said this is your usal gear, honestly, for WH (when I run WH instead of GA) I run sundering shockwave and trenchant rend, 3 dps x 28% is greater damage than your personal dmg output since they're also landing backstabs with full DPS weapons
Hey thanks for the feedback. I'm a tank main specifically sns/wh so unless they do my boys dirty I will be sticking to these weapons throughout my NW gaming time (maybe dabble with the mace when it comes out). I actually have a 625 sundering shockwave/trenchant recovery I use for mutations but felt the consistent damage increase from bane was better since I'm mostly heavy attacking with hammer to keep my hp up. I actually have a GA with trenchant recovery but I'm going to call it now I would die without the cc's on such big pulls. Tanking is much more than having health/mitigation through armor and perks. It's the mitigation through cc's that makes this build very strong vs mobs. GA would probably be pretty good vs bosses but I've yet to see/test it. @@SavanRPG I understand your use of WH because you prefer it's CC vs GA CC. What I am wondering about is your decision to use WH basic attacks more often than SnS basic attacks? This is not a criticism, this is a question. From my understanding SnS does far more damage than WH with either heavy or light basic attacks. Is your decision just based upon which weapon is primary at the time or is there a reason you choose to use WH Primary attacks more often than SnS. SnS Heavy attacks being thrust and doing 20% more damage to Corrupted foes, is not really part of my question, as I prefer SnS light attack chain with a few heavy mixed in to trigger perks and abilities. Thank you for any response in advance.
@@yipp_yippee great question! It's for the sustain from Trenchant recovery and the ability cooldown reduction. Every WH ability procs the exhaustive attacks node, and every heavy/light ability procs the quick recovery/acceleration nodes. This combo makes it easy to solo mobs/bosses. Abilities CC keeping mobs at bay but also proc rend+fortify+weaken+exhaust and heavies give lifesteal and cdr. I can make a separate video if people would like. It's very in depth which is why I love WH for soloing!

Impressive m8. Just a quick question from a noob. Why would you use carnelians solo? I genuinely don't know. In my head I would still not want to attract too much aggro all at once, and the added damage from sapphires would give more dps. Or does it not work like that?
Thanks for watching and great question. Three reasons: Reason 1) This is my corrupted tank set I use in M10's and I can't be bothered to swap the gems out when I decide to do solo activities. 2) The extra arcane damage is nice but not needed as shown in the video. 3) I do in fact want to aggro anything and everything and when other players are doing chest runs or farming these elites I can take the aggro from them. Contrary to my videos I don't do solo content too often so when I'm in groups they appreciate me pulling the aggro. If you'd like to run sapphires or ambers more power to you.

As a tank main this is the golden nectar I've been searching for, for solo corrupted farms! Couple questions, where did you obtain the hammer ? As I looked on NWDB and couldn't find it, unless it was a crafted one? Also the shield as well? Trying to get my hands on the champions earring and grave guard seal but RNG hates me :(

@@iiLOKIxx Appreciate the kind words, I'm glad my video could help a fellow tank! For the hammer you will have to get it crafted or from the trading post. Not sure what server you're on but you can get one for under 5k I'm sure. Trenchant recovery is the mandatory perk out of the two and even then you don't need it. You can get by with a hammer that has lifesteal or corrupted bane because the right side of the hammer tree offers great sustain from the "prevailing spirit" node or swapping to SnS and playing conservative (Though Trenchant Recovery certainly helps). For the shield you will have to get it at the TP or as a drop, I got that one from mutated Depths I believe but imo the Titanwall shield will serve you just as well as it's the 32% fortify from the shield rush perk that is important and the refreshing ward/sturdy are great to have as well. As for jewelry, the slash ward is just a bonus from Gravegaurd seal as Thorpe deals some slash damage but health and divine are the main perks to shoot for. You can farm Scorpion Stone if you don't want to spend gold since it has health and the flame protection is relevant vs Thorpe. For the earring try to find something with regenerating. Doom's chance and Teardrop are both great options just gotta pray to RNJesus! Hope that helps , let me know if you have any other questions, will come out with more videos soon!

Expedition Captain or Aureate Golden are much better choice, Refreshing evasion is pretty much useless. Refreshing or Refreshing Ward are much better, specially ward since you get hit all the time, your cooldown come back in no times.
Thanks for the comment! Those are definitely great sets to have, refreshing is great for bosses since we are blocking more and taking less hits and refreshing ward for fighting clumps. I like the tempestuous set as it's a great entry set for Tanks who are just starting out and don't have access to mutations yet. As nice as the cdr from the Captain's/Aureate's set is, we get plenty of cdr from refreshing move on sns and skill tree nodes from both sns/hammer trees. The fashion on the Expedition Captain's set is unmatched tho!

Trenchant recovery perk on the warhammer, leeching on the ring, lifesteal on sword, regenerating on earring, heal from defender's resolve, and leech from warhammer abilities.
How to get a yellow circle when parrying
Defensive formation on the right side it's the last skill.
Thorpe only does like 3000 damage to this guy 😂

why using carnelia gems ? if you doing this solo
pretty sure he just didn't bother to change the gems on his weapons because the main usage for those 2 weapons are for dungeons
Hey, thanks for the question. Catart is correct, I was just using my typical expedition gear but it helps when people decide to jump in and need the aggro pulled off of them. If you truly wanted to maximize damage you could slot cut pristine sapphires into your weapons since corrupted are weak to it.
