vocaloid producers im going to say 90-100% of the time they do EVERYTHING, aside from the visuals though (some do make their own), but they do the vocals, mixing, and intsrumentals pretty much thats how certain producers you can tell their style of music i.e pinocchioP/utsuP/mitchieM and so on

WOOOOO FLOWER ENJOYER!!! I've always loved the way she sounds, she has such an odd tone compared to some other vocaloids and I say that in the best way possible. If you want some more songs with vocals by the vocaloid Flower, I highly HIGHLY recommend any songs with flower by kairiki bear or hiiragi kirai. Love those guys they make some BANGERS. And to answer your question about song creation, most vocaloid producers make the instrumentals and mix, treating the vocaloid voice as just another instrument!

On the note of "big vocaloid songs"
I've seen a few people mention this song, but I really think its one of the better choices for vocaloid reactions too.
The song: Hachi - Sand Planet - Feat Hatsune Miku
    (Its also titled: Dune)
    (Jp name: Suna no Wakusei)
Fun Fact for those that didnt know: Hachi is very well known to this day by his real name as Kenshi Yonezu.
He truly is a musical talent
So you'll ofcourse find the official upload on his youtube channel
Edit: Anything Hachi would be really cool for sure. especially all those you read up on the list after the reaction
(In general all of those songs you mentioned would be cool reactions)

  • @WWEdeadman
    @WWEdeadman 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

As for stuff from the list on the end you should react to:
    - Sand Planet is amazing, you should totally react to that.
    - You reacted to covers of Love me, Love Me, Love me (Aishite, Aishite, Aishite) before. The original is also pretty good.
    - King, I THINK you heard the original GUMI version of before? Also, when is more King covers reactions?
    - Roki is absolutely fucking awesome, and I think you might have heard a cover of that at some point, like on a hololive concert, maybe?
    - Holy fucking crap, YES, Brain Fluid Explosion Girl is awesome
    - Vampire is great too, and there's also like 100 covers of that that are worth listening to.
    - Bring it on is also good, that list is pretty GOATed. Yeah, just do that entire list, that will be fine.

This is one of the popular Vocaloid songs that has gotten covered by so many people and many of them are vtubers (Hololive and Holostars included). There are popular english covers of this, too! And yeah, usually the producers also do the instrumentals of their own songs.
    Vocaloid songs recommendations! Popular ones:
-Black Rock Shooter - popular enough to have game and manga adaptations and of course, an anime that uses the song as an OP. I recommend watching the anime OP and the original music video version cause the anime OP is an updated version.
-The Daughter of Evil and The Servant of Evil - these two should be watched in this order as it tells a story in two different POVs (there are prequel/sequel songs but these two are fine to watch on their own). These are part of a really big series of songs but you could start with these two. This is popular enough to have light novels, manga, and stage plays.
-Kagerou Daze - the most popular song from a bigger series of songs that got adapted into LNs, manga, and an anime series. Watch the music videos before watching the anime if you're planning to see the latter.
-Prisoner and Paper Plane - watch these in this order. Also pretty popular especially back in the day.
-Trick and Treat - a popular song from back then and it's made well enough that for me, it sounds like actual people are singing it. The most popular version of music video it has is the parody which replaces the characters with those from Katekyo Hitman Reborn (although still sung by the Vocaloids Rin and Len).
-Dark Woods Circus - popular horror vocaloid song. It's really good! And kinda creepy!

    • @Tarien001
      @Tarien001 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

I didn't think anyone would mention Daughter of evil and Servant of evil. They are 2 songs that should be definitely watched in one video.

    • @sanashi27
      @sanashi27 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@Tarien001 Yeah! I think a lot of vocaloid songs, especially older ones, have songs that should be watched together cause they contain a story. They feel like really short anime episodes lol.
I hope more new vocaloid fans check them out cause I think part of why vocaloid became popular is cause of songs with stories.

8:05 Avanna is an English-language voicebank! Goodbye to a World is by Porter Robinson, who also did a song called Sad Machine in which he sang alongside Avanna. More recently, Robinson also had his voice sampled to create a Vocaloid based off of him called Po-uta (pronounced POH-ta, like a Japanese person pronouncing the name Porter, but also punning off the Japanese word for song, "uta"). He did a lovely demo for Po-uta called Humansongs

On the topic of vocaloid artists you should really check out Jin (kagerou project) he's a vary popular artist and his music videos cover a story over the 10 or so songs. They got so popular that they got there own manga and light novels and an anime by the studio that did monogatari called mekaku city actors. They even resung the original vocaloid songs for the anime. Id love you to check out the song he's done.
Edit: for the anime version one of the songs were resung by LiSA, yes THAT LiSA.

"Most popular" is kinda hard to define, so what we know for sure is that Goodbye Declaration has (by a considerable margin) the highest number of youtube views on the original upload made by the artist of any Vocaloid song. The reason you gotta be specific with that is that in the early days of Vocaloid, a lot of popular Japanese Vocaloid artists didn't upload to youtube and stuck to the Japanese video website Nicovideo, so the versions of their songs that were on youtube were reuploads, often by fans who put English subtitles on them. This is the case for some MAJOR Vocaloid hits like Rolling Girl, which might have more views than Goodbye Declaration if you were to cobble together the view counts from the various unofficial uploads, but that's hard to be sure about. On the other hand, the official Rolling Girl video, which didn't go up on youtube until several years after the original nicovideo release and all the fan reuploads that came with it, has a WAY smaller viewcount than Goodbye Declaration even though some might argue that Rolling Girl is better known/more beloved/more iconic/what have you.

yooo luke! vocaloid/utaite enthusiast here! 🤭
great vocaloid journey! finally u reach the top vocaloid songs! but some of them are kinda tricky to found, but many are pretty popular as u already mention some of them there.
now i just wanna let u know, that mafumafu is not vocaloid, he's real singer! i just tell u cuz some other reaction are treat mafumafu like vocaloid, which shouldn't be.
now, about mafumafu, he has covered a lot of Vocaloid songs himself, while making his own songs and cover other songs too! he's very popular in japanese internet, and he has pretty good stories on his journey/career himself, like he talks in his interviews.

9:45 I've recommended their work once before, but I really think you'd enjoy Parties Are For Losers by Ferry! It's part of a series that tells a story through the lyrics/music videos (and they also keep a handy google doc in the descriptions of all the vids with plot summaries and cool lore/worldbuilding to keep things less confusing). Also, Ferry is an example of an artist that does every step of the process solo, composing, arranging, even illustrating and editing the videos. The first few songs in PAFL are a little rough in terms of mixing (can sound a little harsh), but the composition across the board is just off-the-charts awesome, very fast paced and exciting. That said, you can see Ferry's skills improve with every single song in the series - they just released the most recent one less than two weeks ago, and the improvement is really impressive!
Also, Ferry often uses Vocaloids that are meant for Japanese to sing their English songs, which makes for a very unique sound. Three songs in the PAFL series, False Disposition, Strike 3, and 100 Epitaphs, all use V Flower, while the rest of the series features Yuzuki Yukari, Gumi, Nekomura Iroha, KYO, and Fukase, so it's a great way so hear some new, less popular voices.
P.S. it's pronounced GOO-mee. "U" sounds in Japanese are generally equivalent to an English "oo" so "Gumi" rhymes with "roomy"

  • @wondersmith
    @wondersmith 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

4:54 It's not uncommon to have Vocaloid songwriters that do every part of the process solo, especially when you've got like really indie amateur creators just doing their own thing as a hobby, but there's also a lot of them that collaborate with other musicians, especially if they make their living as a songwriter. With Goodbye Declaration, you can scroll down in the description and see a credit for another performer who did the bass, so we can assume that the rest of the instruments were either performed by Chinozo (the guitar probably) or created digitally in whatever music program they used for the arrangement (probably the drums, maybe the synth)

For vocaloids I recommend you listen to "稲葉曇『ラグトレイン』Vo. 歌愛ユキ"
And although I am pretty sure that you don't understand any german, I'd love to see you give it's german cover "Lagtrain (German Version) | Jinja Cover" some love, because it is just amazing vocally, instrumentally and it even adds to the MV a lot.
I can also recommend "KIRA - WILDCARD ft. Kasane Teto AI (Original Song)" KIRA being the same person that made 4BLOOD, produced Kiaras cover of it and worked with her on DO U.

You need to keep in mind that the Vocaloid craze did not start on youtube, a lot of the early uploads were removed by now, and most of the old songs only have a Japanese title.
The youtube audience is going to be very scattered. PoPiPo is another classic, but realistically, anything in Project Diva is going to be top of the list, since it's hand picked. But even then it depends on your personal preference since is can be pretty expansive. It would be interesting to have a concert reaction at some point.
As for recommendations I'm going to say, Rin and Len's "Daughter of evil", Luka's "Double Lariat" or Gumi's "A Fake, Fake, Psychotropic" to start with.

Hi there!! New to the channel. I'm sick in bed and I've been watching these vocaloid videos all day! 😂 I am loving your channel and your energy, I think I'll be here a while.
I have a few recommendations for classic vocaloid songs I would love to see!
    - Kokoro - Kagamine Rin
    - Love Trial - Hatsune Miku
    - Luka Luka Night Fever - Megurine Luka
    - Snowman - KAITO
    - No Logic - Megurine Luka
    - Break it, Break it - MEIKO
    - BRING IT ON - Len & Rin
If you liked flower, I can't recommend this incredible emotional song enough!!: [v flower] Close To You, by kyaami
Other vocaloids i recommend looking into for fun!!
Fukase - I love him! His voice comes from a Japanese Band called Sekai no Owari. The producers rerulili and 40mp both have a very good popular Fukase song!
Otomachi Una - The voice provider is an anime voice actress! KurageP has a couple popular songs with this high-pitched fun vocaloid, and Kinoshita as well!
Oliver- Oliver is known to be on the darker side of vocaloid, featured in creepier songs. The most popular producer for Oliver is Steampianist, "Secrets of Wysteria" being one of the most chilling vocaloid songs of all time.. He is also featured in a song called "La Llorona" that I LOVE!
Regardless of what you do next, I can not wait to see more!!

Luke, one of the producers who can get vocaloids to sound nearly convincing as humans is Mitchie M, whose "Ai Dee" featuring Hatsune Miku and Megurine Luka is a much covered classic, one of the best covers is by the Hololive artists Momosuzu Nene and Pavolia Reine; worth a comparison! Yeah, no, definitely not the biggest vocaloid song ever. Not by a long shot. Don't get me wrong, the song is good, but I have no idea where you got the idea of it being somehow that popular from.
Also, I personally hate flower's voice. It's like scratching on a freaking chalkboard.
As for producers doing instrumentals: That depends on the producer. Some have studio musicians record it for them, some do the music themselves.

I think many people think it's the biggest one on TH-cam and the vocaloid song with the most views on youtube, the biggest one would probably be on NicoNicoDouga since that's the main site for sharing Vocaloid songs but also how can you dislike flowers voice but I guess people have different tastes.

Since you mentioned how the voice/tuning resembles a human voice, then you might probably want to check out some CeVIO songs. Just like Vocaloid, they use synthesised vocals, but the main difference is they are made by different companies (Vocaloid is by Yamaha). A few examples/suggestions:
    - "Collage" (Utsu-P feat. RIME)
    - "Watashi no Doppelganger" (DIVELA feat. KAFU)
    - "Aeon no Megami" (Hitoshizuku×Yama△ feat. SEKAI)
    - "Hana Yobu Koe" (kemu feat. POPY & ROSE)
