Hey Luke, Ryan here. I can speak Japanese. So if you're curious on the meaning on the song, it's essentially about bullying and getting "Revenge" on those who mistreated you. Which is why the entire video is shot in a school. Most Maximum the Hormone songs are wild like this but they do have a few that have a little more of a "Structure". I'll send you one of those on the next donation and we'll see what you think :)
Side note: My last name is French so you don't pronounce "ault". It's pronounced "Ar-sen-no" for future reference. Thanks for the reaction and I'm glad you got something out of it. Looking forward to the others next week!

Hey, thanks for helping me with my French! I am usually pretty good at guessing, but I made the mistake of looking up how to pronounce your name and was given the "ault" pronunciation. I thought "huh, okay then!" Oops.
The other reactions are already recorded, so it will be a repeated mistake, unfortunately.
I can definitely seen MtH having some songs I would like more! This was a little bit like certain Avenged Sevenfold songs for me. "I enjoyed my visit, but I wouldn't want to live there," you know?

Yeah I totally get it as an A7X fan myself. I've got a few ideas for next time ;)

This song is about Ryo (the guitar player) and the bullying he experienced at school because of his weight. It was really bad and even his older sister (the dummer) couldn't stop it. The chaos of the song represents his emotions. At the end he says anger is no good for anyone, so he forgives his bullies and lets go of his anger.
A song like "Buiikikaesu" or the songs they wrote for Death Note Season 2 - "What's up people" and "Billy in Despair" - are more typical of their sound.
And they also have other songs that are as chaotic as this one.

Thank you for the extra insight! That helps me appreciate the song more, to be sure.

@@kylec1411 Yeah I'm from Canada myself. I'm also obsessed with anything Japanese. I've been learning the language for years and am pretty good, I can understand this whole song. I plan to move to Japan within the next couple years.

@@YamatoSumeragi their culture has always intrigued me and about 2 years ago when I heard of babymetal i started getting into their music. Still don't understand Japanese but I have translated many of the songs (dunno how accurately) but yea it looks wild there. Id love to move but the thought of it scares me a little. Lol I don't like huge cities. I'm a small town guy 🤣

@@kylec1411 I love babymetal too! If you like Japanese metal, then check out Galneryus if you don't already know them they are fantastic. It's like Dragonforce crossed with Dream Theater but they're Japanese.

Great analysis! From my pov, it‘s not the best song to start with (try „What‘s Up People?“ [my first encounter with MtH while watching the Death Note anime] or „Buiiki Kaesu“). Great band! Live, they‘re absolute powerhouse performing in such a perfect way, only Japanese bands can.

This song is about school-caste victims getting over trauma including ryo-kun(main vocal) and all other guys in the world. Not by revenge but live again on self dead body. Read their lylics.

Maximum The hormone are awesome, If you want another awesome band you should check out Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, also from Japan but Indie not metal. Their Earth quaker session for she is inside and Bears is an example of musical perfection. You neeed to watch both songs, the first ones a warm up.

You referred to the drummer as "he". The drummer's a she, she's the first vocalist you hear in this song, Nao-kun. :)
