Kuma's always fascinated me ever since he appeared, especially after hearing his epithet be "Tyrant" Kuma. The revolutionary army say in series that no one's nicer than Kuma, so I can see very big frame ups being part of his backstory, which is going to hurt hurt hurt.

A youtube comment theorised Bonney is a clone of Kumas original daughter. And Kumas epithet "Tyrant" is the reason and sad back story of what caused his daughter and possibly his wifes death.

I'm with Liam on this one; the Stussy reveal seemed more to enhance the idea that Bonney is a clone, not that Vegapunk was talking about Stussy. But I feel like it won't be as straightforward as "Bonney is the clone of Kuma's daughter." I think it's gonna end up being a twisted version of that, like she's actually a clone of Kuma's wife, but was cloned as a baby, thus had to be raised as a child, not continuing on as a married woman. Would love for that or something else along those lines to be the reveal, as that would kinda subvert how a typical "clone reveal plot twist" tends to go.
Honestly when I learned Bonney might be a clone my first thought was how messed up if she was a clone of his wife lol. My second thought was maybe Bonney looking so much like Big Mom could finally be explained.
How about a God of War Story? Kuma killed his own wife and/or daughter, because he wasnt able to controll his Power given to him by either the celestial Dragons or some higer ups in the marine. Thats why they called him the Tyrant, back when he was a King . Then Vegapunk made a promise that he would make a clone out of his memories if Kuma helps him with the science around his devil fruit and fight the ones who gave Kuma power..

Small hint for Kuma's bear ears, because I was curious about that, too: In chapter 1063 we see Kuma holding a young Bonney. We also can make out a distinctively human looking ear, so I guess eating the Fruit, Kuma's human ears were replaced with the cute bear ears.
I like the similarity between Bonney and Kuma i.e. Both have short range DFs and if they touch you the fights almost on their side.
All those revelations about Bonney's devil fruit, now makes so much more sense, how she even became a member of The Worst Generation. With just her Hand to Hand combat and deaging, she seems a tad bit to weak for that, but now it all makes sense.
And it also makes me so much more intruiged about Urouge. Every Worst Generation member so far, got some powerups and new powers to their DF, all except out Mad Monk. Im really curious, if Oda purpousfully leaves him for last, out of the whole WG.
I really, unironically, am excited for the monks eventual return. As the last member of the worst generation his reveal should be interesting
@@DemonMankeyMan im really curious about him, especially, as he was argueble the strongest of all supernovas. He was the only one pre timeskip, to actually damage Pacifista all on his own. He was also the only one, to beat Sweet Comander, as other members, just retreated without a fight.
I've been waiting so long to learn more about Bonney and I'm so excited that it's finally happening, even though the eventual flashback will probably destroy me emotionally. I wonder if we'll finally find out what kind of history she was with Sakazuki though. Also I have a sneaking suspicion that the name of her fruit is gonna be something completely out of left field, like being named after a random item that seems unrelated at first but ends up explaining everything in the end.
Also important, de-aging doesn't return your body to it's original look (hence Vegapunk still had his apple head) so if Bonney de-aged Kuma he would still be a cyborg

With Bonney using her ability to tap into the abilities of all her possible future selves, would she be able to use this to read poneglyphs. Say there's a future where she devolted herself to learning about the void century and the lost history like Robin has, would it then become possible? She could be closer in the running with the likes of Luffy, Law & Kidd to the becoming Pirate Queen in this case
I think that, as Bonnie's goal at the moment was to be strong to catch Vegapunk then her future self at the moment would technically be motivated to train so that she would succeed making her get to that future but it's the same result, if she wishes to become faster then her future self would actually become faster to do what she wanted to, effectively giving her the opportunity to shift into whatever future or past she needs, what I actually wonder is if her fruit gives her immortality

Kuma was originally a king of one of the 20 kingdoms, the sorbet kingdom. his Daughter died or maybe it was his wife, so he became the so called "tyrant"... lost in his bitterness over the loss he eventually became obsessed with the void period because they were so advanced that they even could defeat the death itself. He began to travel the grandline to find answers and had met vegapunk during this time. Vegapunk found interest in Kuma and especially in his DF because of vegapunks DF his brain became so big that he could'nt move properly anymore. with his knowledge of the DF he knew that kuma could extract his brain and even more ... he could split vegapunk into different individual parts, so that he would become more effective with his studys of course. For that vegapunk offers to try his new invention on kuma's Daughter/Wife. Kuma accepts and viola, the first real clone of a dead person. This Information was discovered by the WG and Kuma lost his king privileges and his kingdom. Vegapunk also became a target of the WG. They both offer(or they were forced to) to use his newly discovered research to build a weapon for the government... yep thats at least something i guess ... you can even expand the idea with dragon and the rebellion against the WG ... would fit nicely (sry for bad grandma ;) )
Normally i am not into creating theories on my on, but ill give it a go after the last chapter: At one point Caribou will find extracted memories, just like Bonney did. But these memories will be Rocks memories. Caribou will gain these memories and then it will be revealed, that he was Rocks all the time. I think its possible, that Haki is connected to Experience and Emotions etc. so Caribous whole physique could change cause of this. With the knowledge he gained in his time as Caribou combined with the knowledge and power of Rocks he would be a big player in the final chapters.
I am totally aware that this is quite farfetched, but Caribous place in the story is very confusing to me at this point and this outcome would clear this pretty well for me.
I really like the idea of bonney’s df tapping into alternate futures/universes! I just watched this movie last week ‘everything, everywhere, all at once’ which uses the exact same concept. Would really recommend to watch!!
Feel like it’s more of a potential future thing. Like say if she thought to herself “I want to get really strong” then she would use her power to turn her body into the point in time when she’s strong. Like she has to have the intent to do such thing then it’ll happen
I'm a little disappointed that I haven't seen one EXP joke from anyone, considering how similar the jewels look to Kingdom Hearts' EXP Gems, and considering how Dr. Vegapunk was concerned about how his golden years were taken away, is it possible that Bonney could consume these gems to give her an alternate version of herself?
Put every One Piece Arc into A Tier List
You brought up whether Bonnie can revert inanimate objects, and I think she can. When she breaks the lock keeping her from accessing the room with Kuma's memories, she calls it "Oil Breakdown" - and when the lock crumbles, you can also see what look like round black droplets. Assuming the lock was made of plastic or something similar, if she aged it down, it would revert to raw oil. Plastic is derived from petroleum, which is in turn derived from crude oil in the ground. It's a little hard to tell for sure what the lock was made of, but I think that was the intended reading Oda had in mind for it.
And on the topic of that conversation Vegapunk and Kuma had about souls, I don't think their conversation is necessary pointless in-universe. We don't know, for instance, if the World Government (and, by extension, Vegapunk) had a full grasp on all the Devil Fruits that were out there, so it's possible they weren't aware of the Soul-Soul Fruit or the Revive-Revive Fruit. And even if they were, there's still the possibility that those fruits aren't interacting with something that was always there, but are creating something to interact with - like how Foxy's fruit creates new particles that don't really seem to exist independent of his Devil Fruit. The person who made the Soul-Soul Fruit might have just wanted dearly for souls to exist, and thus, the Soul-Soul Fruit creates souls. I think there's still a debate to be had over whether people in the One Piece world would have souls if there weren't a Soul-Soul Fruit.
Of course, I could also be overthinking this, and maybe the One Piece world just always had souls, slow-down particles, and stuff like that. But the idea that Devil Fruits exist to realize desires, imagination, and possibilities that maybe didn't exist before raises a lot of questions about how much of the One Piece world we take for a given exists solely because Devil Fruits exist.

Regarding the devil fruit situation, I think Bonnie may be able to access other versions of herself that have very specifically eaten the same fruit.
This may also be made more interesting if she IS a clone, which would of course mean that she has a wider array of alternate situations than potentially anybody else.

Ah, you're underestimating Oda's love for cockteasing, Liam. No doubt, next issue will start with Bonnie leaving the lab that has Kuma's memories, limping away as the paw/orb thingy is dim and no longer glowing - she then states "that...that can't be! What I just saw can't be true!" Then we'll get no explanation as to what Bonnie saw for the next 8 or so chapters.

I mean if the fruit's ability can make Kuma remove the memories, then he can also remove the memory of any devil fruit user of having the ability at all. Like Law can still have his Devil fruit's powers but he doesn't remember of having eaten it all so he basically forgets how to create room or atleast forgets the awakening. Being able to remove memories is an open playground of possibilities. Then again, Oda can always put conditions to why that is not possible.

Regards to the drive that created the Paw-Paw fruit. I think it was more a scenario were the person wanted to take the pain away from loved ones and as a result he became a teddybear man! Even more fitting if they were a parent such as Kuma :3
I think the way her powers work that would be more reasonable would be to only be able to tap into the future taking her current present self as a point of reference, meaning that her past is set in stone, while the future possibilities decrease as time goes on.

Bonney destroying the lock to the chamber with Kuma's memory thing reminded me of that one Marine with a rust-based Devil Fruit that rusted the sword he got from Ipponmatsu. I guess that's just an inferior version of this Devil Fruit now, something that's becoming increasingly common in One Piece.
Edit: Also what's up with Dr. Vegapunk discussing the existence of a soul with Kuma in that flashback? Doesn't Big Mom's Devil Fruit, which literally allows her to steal other people's souls, already confirm the existence of souls?
Vegapunk might dismiss that as a manifestation of the fruit power, rather than a natural part of the world. Maybe that was the case with natural shadows vs ones affected by Moria's fruit

I was a fan of the theory that Bonney was Luffys mother while everyone else was trying to rationalise Crocomom, but that felt like it was shot down when Bonney was revealed as Kumas daughter. Knowing how likely it is that Bonney is a clone now though, I am desperately piecing together the reasons why Bonneymom theory is alive, but was never Kumas real daughter, in the revolutionaries and therefore in contact with Dragon, shameful secrets in that paw bubble are all about how she's been Luffys clone mom all along. Anyone coming with me on this or am I out on this limb on my own?
That bubble is the amount of pain Bonnie went through when she became the first perfect clone.
Something I didn't quite understand for a while now - and it has been more confusing in 1072 - is why Vegapunk doesn't lock down the DOM Shoes (the boots Bonnie is wearing)? In chapter 1065, Vegapunk locks Sanji's Shoes down to deliver some exposition.
Those shiny things reminds me a bit of how experience is visualized in games.

If she can alter everyone’s with stronger alternatives and weaken enemies with frail versions she could be a great support for others, although since everyone from this point has decent Haki probably not.
One theory I heard since bonney revealed this ability is that she could use it to temporarily age up Luffy to give him the power he will have when he is pirate king I personally don't like this theory because it would be the equivalent to in story spoilers but I guess it hypothetically could happen and would make for a cool moment.

Maybe the machine parts put into Kuma are similar too the giant robot that ALSO attacked the red line, the programming could be activated in Kuma.
There seems to me that there is a difference between de-aging and reverting the conceptual existence of actual physical components. My body ages. This causes changes via growth and entropy, but if I am cut my body has to change process to focus on healing that damage. It isn't natural aging or progression, it's a detour. I don't see Bonny being able to simply revert broken things back to a state of ... fixedness? So I would think if she touched a part of the exampled log pose (sp?) she would only be able to affect the material she touchs, not the concept of a fully constructed item.
I think it boils down to the idea of: if I whittle a pice of wood and then try to reverse its age, does it regrow what parts it lost or does the existing matter just de-age? I would imagine the latter, because aging of a singular component doesn't rely on the extended parts.
Strong version of Bonnie also kinda resembled Big Mom on her rampage when she lost all that weight but was still kinda hulking
not sure if anyone has picked up on this, but i am re-reading the manga and currently at the summit war arc. In chapter 565, one of the panel shows bonney crying right after the video transponder snails were cut. Its weird to see her crying without showing why but with recent news about bonney's family, it makes sense that she was crying after seeing her dad Kuma. Oda's foreshadowing is insane.

Black Beard is a multiclone of Roger, Whitebeard and Xebec. He possesses whitebeard's fruit, the lack of fruit powers as per Roger, and possibly Xebec's fruit through the yami yami no mi. Fits the theory of Black Beard not being a singular personality, but a culmination of all three possibly?
