Watched your walk and brought back good memories for me from when I walked it solo in 2015. Yours is the first video which I remembered the views, I was beginning to think other walkers had done a different route. Well done.

Thanks, man. This was a really tough one, I probably should have at least done a little bit of training! The landscape looks a little different from your neck of the woods

If you ever do a long distance path in Britain I would suggest the coast to coast path. It is shorter than the Pennine way and goes through the Lake district which is the prettiest part of England.

    Hi Daniel,
Was hoping you'd finish this off before the weather turned too cold! Well done. I've really enjoyed seeing the Pennine Way through someone else's eyes. I completed it in twelve days in 2007 and found it to be an awesome, if arduous, experience. Great work. D

Instructive, inspirational and interesting; your contribution to encourage walking the PW is enormous, many thanks! (I'm a little older than you, so intend to breakup the last stretch: thinking about Hen Hole Mountain Rescue Hut). Very grateful to you. Tony

I filmed myself in the hut there, it's not a pleasant stay, but I did pass another gentleman who was going to stop there the night. It is luxurious compared to some of the shelters on the Appalachian Trail. I'm glad you liked the videos!

Just watched the last day, brought back memories. Doing it 2017 the other way, 25 years on from my first south north completion. Great videos, congrats buddy.

Hi Daniel...been meaning to comment for a while and thought I would start with an oldy of yours. I've watched a few more of these and have enjoyed them. This is yet another time spent with you that I've found exhilarating and entertaining. You certainly know your history mate. Nice one. Any way, it's been good. All the best. Mark

Brilliant series of videos Daniel . That's one tough last stretch over my local hills the Cheviots but you even fitted in a history lesson , great stuff . The Cheviot itself is a great big lump but better to leave the bleak summit and follow the path East for short while and the views to Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle are worth the little bit extra if a clear day and you have the energy. Anyway great final video to a great set .Thank's for sharing . Mick.

That history lesson was originally nearly three times as long. I trimmed Jane Grey, Bloody Mary and then Anne and (other) Mary and William, the Civil War.
I wish I had known about the view east of the Cheviot, it would have nice to have had a view after climbing it in the wind

+PH12364 That's pretty impressive! I don't even think my family have bothered to watch them all the way through, it did take me a couple of years to get enough time to finish them off

You're very welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed the video series. The Pennine Way truly is a wonderful hike. Remote and bleak in places, but still really compelling to me. Good luck next year and however many more times you hike the trail!

Looks a lot like the Galloway Forest Area. Give that patch a try; very quiet compared with other UK national parks.
