I'm about ready to scream. WHY are they going to tear this beautiful house down? It's immaculate! Gorgeous woodwork, wallpaper...everything. I would love to live in an older home like this.
I agree, why would they demolish something this beautiful?? Of course businessmen who don’t have any real sense of! All they can see is $$ !! Knock it down and we will sell the land or build what!! 😢
I completely disagree. This is an old farmhouse with small, awkwardly shaped rooms for today's living needs...esp at that pricepoint & lot size. That prior owner's ugly crap decor & cheap, cheesy looking built-ins... ugly kitchen extension doesn't even fit the rest of the house. That house would be a complete pain to maintain... and likely expensive. The money pit. 💯 a tear-down property IMO. Perhaps a few things could be salvaged & reused but not very much & likely not worth the effort. I'd rather live in that 70s split-level he toured that's about to be torn down. I'd respectfully like to request smoother filming on these houses. I like seeing them but his rapid spinning of the camera is nauseating...esp for people who are prone to vertigo. Also, I'd love for him to start reading decorating & design magazines & check out some old house & newer house design (along with house history) books from the library to learn the proper names of things & materials. Watch some high end home decor videos here on YT from famous designers to see how they film & present. He often misses very obvious things he really should know by now. I think his tours are fun & I'm glad he's going them. It might not sound like it but I'm completely not intending to hate on him bc I like what he does, but he can improve his presentations a little. I like his enthusiasm & excitement.

Wowsers!!! From the outside I thought this house was built in the 1990's, its so nicely updated in areas and left alone in others...I think I love it!! Great explore!!
Homes like this are just beautiful. This would be a very basic renovation and only a few items to fix. So sad how people don't appreciate homes built with elegance and class anymore. Older homes have such character.
Hi Ethan..that's a beautiful house and so well cared for, proper family home. ..no way would I have left it ..the old part of the basement was built to last ,solid ...thanks for the tour Ethan I loved it stay safe well and happy 💋
For this home being so old, it was in great shape. Honestly wasn't sure i'd like this, but they gave it a 'kind' update--seamlessly adding the new addition onto the older part while making it look like it was always there--like how the kitchen was new but done with an old style look, upstairs windows having to be pushed open instead of the cranks, etc. so i was pleasantly surprised. I liked the nod to the old fashioned things too, like the entranceway light, the flooring, and that room with the matching curtains/wallpaper. Love the family room off the kitchen. And you opened the fridge! Haha, i did not think you'd do that! 😄 Thank you for capturing it so we'll always be able to visit it, even once it's gone. Take care and stay safe. 🙂
Hey, Ethan. I swear I don't know where you find these Houses, but some of these are just awesome and Let Me tell you something. This house is beautiful. I would move in this house in a heartbeat, but I don't know how it is to live in canada so I don't know. As soon as You walked into the House I was in Love with it, Separate rooms, all the wood working, is absolutely gorgeous, the only thing I would change is putting plush carpeting throughout the entire House including the bathroom. It'd be picture perfect.
It's all about people that are greedy to keep making money money money... And in plain english they don't care about These old homes. And That is a shame
Someone mentioned it is haunted. Remember the markings in the master bedroom? Those were claw scratches. Remember the light turning off, the feeling he felt in the basement? That may be why.
The master bedroom is a dreamy room! It’s seems like the right size for one person to enjoy. The closet is Big/Huge! I don’t own that much clothing but I still like room, built ins and balcony. Thanks for sharing 😍
What a beautiful house! Why are they going to tear it down? That's so sad, I hate it when they decide to just to tear something down! So cool! Great work!
This reminds me of an older home we rewired a few years ago. They did a full renovation/remodel on it, even the door hardware, trim, light fixtures, bath fixtures, etc were replaced or refurbished with authentic. This was a cool house, surely they’re not gonna demo it.
Eh, what's up Ethan!! 😄 sorry I haven't been watching you lately but I came back!! I love old homes, especially over 100 years old, it's terrible that the development are tearing them down. I hope at least they can take out the cupboards and what little stuff they can give away to people who need them.
It’s a shame that these old homes are being demolished. New builds are nice looking but it’s clear that people don’t take pride in their work. I’m in the states and have seen new builds go up just months but don’t last worth a crap. In my old neighborhood I watched 2 homes get built in about 4 months. They were both sold fairly quickly which I was shocked by given the housing market in Arizona the last few years. What really didn’t surprise me was was one of those houses was back on the market in just over a year. I spoke to the woman who was selling it. Wishing the first 6 months she had to replace the roof, the water heater twice, fix 3 floods in the basement and the walls that were damaged by the water. She sunk more into the house than it was actually worth by then. She was glad she used the money from her grandfather’s passing. I’m not sure if she got much or anything at all for what she had to sink into the house though.
Ethan Minnie thanks for sharing with me this video about I Discovered a Millionaire’s AMAZING 1880’s Estate Left Completely ABANDONED | WHERE DID THEY GO?!?! it was a really good explore and God Bless and thanks.

This was a pretty cool house. It didn’t look old until we were down in the basement there and then we went to the other side and it look new again. They shouldn’t tear it down unless there’s a reason for it and not because they bought somebody out.
What a beautiful house I would love to call home! Definitely looks like it's been remodeled in the last 10 years but still has that century charm. And funny you mention how you felt in the basement, it certainly has backrooms vibes, especially seeing how there's just one door separating the finished part from the old, unfinished basement! Too bad they're tearing this gem down :( not only will whatever replaces this likely not last 20 years, let alone 150, but whoever lived here clearly spent crazy money remodeling it and keeping it maintained. The carpet in that one room in the basement looks like the newer type carpet where you can remove a square. It is a carpet you lay down by the squares. The house is a old home but has been remodeled. As you said the basement shows the age. I would say late 1800s or early 1900s
