This house isn’t abandoned. This is my great grandmothers house and we still care for it. We pay the electric to keep it on. We actually come to stay every once in awhile. I’m not mad that you’re there, we could tell someone was there by the tracks and stuff touched. Thank you for recording, showing everyone who my great grandmother was and not breaking anything.
@@kathybannister656 did he go in without permission? Yes. That’s what he does. He explores abandoned houses without permission. That’s what he and people like him do. He thought my great grandmas house was abandoned and it’s not. That’s okay. My family and I aren’t mad at him. Shit happens, he respected our property and assumed it was abandoned and made a cool video of my great grandmothers house. No harm no foul.
Hi Rick!❤ I loved this house, with everything left behind. It’s amazing what history is left behind for us to see, and with folks like you, you make it happen
To the people who visits the house.please put security up and all around. Because some people go into houses to take and destroy things ! Beautiful home . Please take care of it,your so lucky 🍀😀🤗
This is not really an abandoned house. Looks like there is frequent visitor tending for the house. The basic rooms are not dusty. The furniture and pieces of displays are well arranged. Stocks in the refrigerator are still fresh and one item will expire in 2020. This is a beautiful house full of family spirits.
My mother's family is from south Ga. All her family worked at Warner Robins Air Force Base since WW2. My grandmother lived out on a farm also. I loved so much going down to Grandma and Grandpa's with all the aunts, uncles and cousins gathering for the holidays and during the summer vacation. Moultrie isn't too far from this place. Middle and south Georgia has some of the most beautiful old South that you could ever see! I live in Fla now but I'm still and always will be lil Southern spitfire from Ga. Lol. Gone with the wind are the good ol days! But Nov 2024 will help bring those good times back! Thank you!
Another great video Rick, super interesting. I just always get a little uneasy watching the houses that don’t truly seem to be abandoned. Someone is clearly coming back here to keep things neat and tidy. It sort of feels like snooping on people’s belongings. They’re not yet truly ‘abandoned’.
Appears the house inside is staged and clean. Perhaps they hold tours there. That would also explain why the property is mowed. Beautiful home inside and out.
This home is gorgeous and the furniture wow love it. I hope the family comes and clean it out before someone comes and trashes it . Thank you for sharing 😊
The lady whose obituary you read was my age 1957-2018 so she was only 61. So pictures of older women probably were her mom’s. Very sad how young she died 😢
thank you Rick you always do such a beautiful job of telling house history and what you could learn of the people who lived there video came out very good easy to watch 😀😀😀
Hi Rick! I have been watching your all your videos and i thought this house was beautiful and one of the best you have done yet. I am really enjoying your videos and i love the way you tell the story behind the house. Keep up the with your awesome videos and never change anything about your videos because you do make it feel like we are there with you.
Holy Moley!!! Rick, buddy, you have encountered a museum-like time capsule residence. I feel like a Star Trek time traveler and/or a person enjoying a holodeck scenario. Geezus, a time capsule of Americana and a goldmine for any type of explorer and history buff like me. What-a-beauty, intriguing, and awesome time piece- Thank you, man, and be safe out there. 🤜🤛🤙😁👍👏🖖
I absolutely enjoyed your tour of this fabulous house. Your voice is mesmerizing narrating. If the family sees your video and would write a book using your video and their memories i would certainly buy it. Thank you, thank you, thank you
Just started watching your video. Walking up the walk to the front porch I could feel the love of the family that lived there. I think it's a doorbell on the front door. Twist the little knob in the center of the bell and it might sound like a tricycle bell, my Grandfather had one, maybe not. I think that is a steer horn?? I love this house and can't wait to finish your video. Thank you for sharing, from Florida
A family trust or someone must be paying for the electricity to remain on. The outside front of the house is adorable. ❤ 12:00 the obituary was so sweet 18:22 it’s a shame the family photos & everything is left behind. Maybe family members are trying to probate it all through the courts if the owners died intestate? 19:36 are those bullets for a rifle? 29:59 adorable house & the vintage furniture ❤
If this lady was born in 1957 and passed in 2006, she was young, 50 maybe. I'd bet much of what is in her home is either items from her parents or stuff she's collected over the yrs. I love how she lived, in an antique shop. Thank you to her family for this trip through their mom's life. Beautiful!
I’m pretty sure that room is not a bedroom but a dining room. Maybe they put beds for the elderly 🤷🏼♀️ just my thoughts that’s the reason there is a door leading to the kitchen
That bell device is a hand-turn doorbell. First seen one on a friend's apartment door. Used to love spinning the key on the other side to see if he was home. The bell was taken off but it made a nice whirly sound when you spin it.
The women that died was one month younger than me. She was only 60 years old. I think the photo of the women in the hat is her. The photo looks like it is from the 70's.
That’s my aunt, she is the one that passed away unexpectedly and unfortunately. That picture was taken in the early 2000’s we just got a picture printed in black and white. We have a colored one in there as well. This is my great grandmothers house, my aunt stayed there to take care of it after my grandma passed and now we take care of it and keep it exactly how she had it when she passed and keep the upkeep done on it. We still stay there every once in awhile.

That's gotta be really weird watching someone else think your grandma's abandoned house and videoing it. I always look in comments because a lot of times you'll find someone that knew someone in the house or they were friends with the kids. I see it all the time in the comments, but I wasn't expecting someone to say hey that's my great grandma's house. It's not abandoned wow how weird
I really enjoyed this video, Rick! I'm guessing the girls in the photos must have been Audrey and her sister. She had at least one brother, maybe two. It appears that she was fairly young when she passed on. But overall, it seems the family led good life. They took wonderful care of the property and, as you pointed out, the grounds still appear to be well maintained.
1:38 It's amazing how there's power but if I don't pay my electric bill within 1 day it's cut and my place obviously is not abandoned. Really nice house inside and out. 2:45 I would drive that tractor to Walmart.
A lot of people hang taxidermy deer heads on their walls. I can’t believe you’ve never seen that before. I live in the Midwest and the generations before me had the same thing. I believe they thought of these, as trophies. I inherited a couple of my Dad’s and one of my grandmothers. I’m not a fan of dead animals hanging on my wall but that’s just a change of times an opinion.
I grew up around it too because my dad was a hunter. I never liked him killing deer. :( As an adult, I now live in an area where I get to enjoy seeing them in my yard. I even see babies feeding from mom.
Steroid dose packs (like prednisone) are used for short-time inflammatory conditions like poison oak, assisting in opening and maintaining the airway in acute illness (pneumonia, bronchitis etc), rheumatoid arthritis, and so on. I agree that the owner of the house must have been Audrey's mother. This was a family that appreciated elegance and education. Such a beautiful home!
