You'd be amazed at how other videos over-complicate & prattle on about these topic..and here they did all that in under 2 minutes.
    Awesome video, much appreciate.

So.. I should use something other than my home page as the canonical for the site. I should only choose one of the same products with a variation. But what if my site is a real estate site? And I have a bunch of units in the same complex? - I was using (or I am using) the home page for the canonical for the site.

I made a ONE page website, yet it said I had duplicate content and would'nt get indexed. Very smart Google!!

    Hi great input :)
May I ask if its still recommended to use canonical tags even if the website has no duplicate or near-identical content?
Or would you say its necessary to do it, no matter what?

Hi Stefan. No, it's not necessary if there's no duplicate or near duplicate content. More on the topic here. www.sistrix.com/ask-sistrix/onpage-optimisation/what-is-the-canonical-tag-and-how-to-use-it/

@@sistrix-com Hi, thank you for the response, I really appreciate it :)
If I may ask a follow-up question: with Googles mobile-first approach, is it better to canonicalize mobile pages rather than webpages?
