I have a 23 and I run without the bags or windshield .I like the cleaner look.I run a swingarm bag . I do miss the utility of the bags and get where you're coming from.
@@BillSwanton I looked into swing arm bag but wouldn’t hold much more that the stuff in my pockets. No room for a jacket or anything. I do like the look. Thanks for the comment.
I know what you're saying. I love my bags off but I leave them on because I'm able to ride the bike to run errands. Just today I went to the post office, dollar store, auto parts store and grabbed a 12 pack. 6 bottles fit in each bag with plenty of room left over. I keep a small towel in the bags to provide some padding. Keep the videos coming. Love your bike. I think I told you before but I have a 22 Heritage blue/black. 48 years old and it's my first year riding. I love it. Sad to see winter approaching. At least I won't have to cut the grass. Take care.
Easy dilemma fix...use quick detach/connect for the bags. You can get the hardware online $40 to $100 I got my docks for $14 and plates for the bags for $25.
@TheSonofHarold you're welcome . I've even picked up a lot of accessories for my bike such as breather Arlen Ness sells for $432 for $70 brand new in the box. Exact same thing minus the name Arlen Ness.
The bags come in handy, but I do like the look of the bike with no bags. I'm thinking of taking them off and only putting them on for longer trips when I know i'll need them. I have the Onyx Premium Luggage Weekender Bag which I can put on the bike for running errands etc. I do need new saddlebags though after getting rear ended the other day.
I agree. The Heritage looks better without the bags. BUT, their utility can not be denied. I have a 2019, 114 Heritage. I've been considering H-D's Onyx Luggage Tail Bag ($150.00) when I'm not running saddle bags. With temperatures getting progressively cooler; I'll keep the saddlebags on to stow extra layers of clothing. There are also options for sissy bar bags as well. Nice to see your co-star Ripley make an appearance! Safe travels to you!
Trust your gut and first thoughts. I have 2021 Hertiage 114 w sissy bar. Most of the time I run without bags for looks. Grab yourself a sissybar bag to cover most day trips. Save your saddlebags for overnighters. Keep your girl slim!
@@jawanzajones4430 Thanks for the input. The jury is still out on this one. Today I got 5 hours of sleep this morning and had to run across town for my son’s cross country meet. I was able to pack a travel mug of fresh coffee surrounded by a blanket in 1 bag. Today the bags proved their worth. 🤣
Anything that makes riding an easier option, is a good idea. Your right thou, it looks better off and its a good thing to remind the FLH crowd. Its faster, naked.

@@garyrhode3755 It has floorboards so I think it’s great. Able to reposition your feet if needed. The shifter lever is also adjustable. I have no issues. The Heritage is an awesome motorcycle.

That is exactly what I am getting at. Using the motorcycle more often is always the best answer. Thanks for the support. Winter sucks.
