In this edition of BizFocus, Feeling China's Economic Pulse, we explore the fascinating field of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI). The concept involves leveraging cutting-edge technologies to establish direct communication channels between the human brain and external devices, such as computers or robot limbs. With its immense potential to aid individuals with disabilities or brain-related disorders, the BCI sector has experienced rapid growth globally. Within China, numerous companies are devoted to this industry, and I have talked to several that have made huge strides in recent years.

Google... "The Neuralink implant company" - a company founded by Elon Musk in the USA. They already began doing this years ago and have demonstrated the brain interface into Animals.

China is a blessing by once again clonining/copying technology from the US? Neuralink not only first demonstrated this technology... it's far ahead of China!

These Chinese companies look like they’re 10-20 years behind US based companies working on the same tech.

Blackrock neurotech founded 2007, Neuralink more recently but is far more promising. Brain computer interfaces were first studied in the university of California in the 1970’s.

@@covertpuppytwo3857 no worries, it just a matter time China will enhance it better than US can imagine. example US created Amazon and China Created Alibaba. US created social media like TH-cam for video sharing and China created Artificial intelligence (AI) TikTok for personalized short videos.

A step closer to 'Matrix' soon, you have an option 'red' or 'blue' pill to swallow. Maybe an early stage of Metaverse. Get technology with many applications such as exoskeletons. The CPU speed needs to break the speed of the brain which is something to watch for.

Actually, not only China, all countries of the world do need to build and keep self-discipline, and All the inventions and technology must strictly and truly obey the Bioethics and Medical Ethics rules and regulations, otherwise they are no different from lethal weapons. And likewise the geniuses without morality and benevolence, they are no different from craziest and worst killers.

aah, the frankenstein phase in mmi - always amusing. well, restoring semblance of functionality to cripples is something at least and basic research would certainly help the field, but in the end youll get nothing of real substance with this crude contraptions. actual advancement will have to wait till you figure out how to reprogram hypervisor/connection management layer and be able to remap and repurpose existing neural pathways

    Implessive!
With this most recent achievement, fate has in a single stroke, marked the decline of the west and spelled a new era of wondrous prosperity and peaceful global dominance for the Chinese dragon, which promises to firmly stand in sharp contrast to the historically bloody ascent of western powers and the cruel subjugation it brought to the humbler nations of the world. With the blessings of Chinese quantum direct-current electricity, quantum aircraft carriers and quantum enhanced railguns will be the instruments with which China affirms its noble stewardship of 21st century world politics and offers the non-western world a different option; an humanist alternative to the depredations of Western leadership and the opportunity for a more equitable and dignified multilateralism.
