Après un album consacré à Beethoven, Michel Dalberto revient à l’univers de Liszt, l’immense Sonate en Si mineur étant au cœur de son nouveau disque. Le compositeur fut un visionnaire, mais aussi, un formidable « narrateur ». L’interprétation du pianiste français se situe dans la révélation de ces deux approches, se jouant aussi de la prodigieuse et spectaculaire virtuosité des quatre Études d’exécution transcendante et de la profondeur poétique de la Vallée d’Obermann. Cet enregistrement a été capté sur un splendide piano Carl Bechstein dans l’auditorium de la Fondation Louis Vuitton à Paris.
On the heights of Romantic storytelling
After an album devoted to Beethoven, Michel Dalberto returns to the world of Liszt, with the immense Sonata in B minor forming the centrepiece of his new disc. The composer was a visionary, but also a prodigious ‘storyteller’. The French pianist’s interpretation reveals both strands in the work, while also bringing out to the full the formidable, spectacular virtuosity of the four Études d’exécution transcendante and the poetic profundity of Vallée d’Obermann. This recording was made on a splendid Carl Bechstein piano in the auditorium of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris.

Nach einem Beethoven-Album kehrt Michel Dalberto mit der immensen Klaviersonate h-Moll als Herzstück seiner neuen Platte in die Welt Liszts zurück. Der Komponist war ein Visionär aber auch ein genialer „Erzähler“. Die Interpretation des französischen Pianisten enthüllt beide Facetten und treibt ihr Spiel mit der genialen und spektakulären Virtuosität der vier Études d’exécution transcendante und der poetischen Tiefgründigkeit von Vallée d’Obermann.
Eingespielt wurden die Werke auf einem prächtigen Carl-Bechstein-Klavier im Auditorium der Stiftung Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.

ベートーヴェン・アルバムを世に問うたミシェル・ダルベルトが、フランツ・リストの音世界に帰って来た。最新盤の主軸は、大曲《ロ短調ソナタ》だ。先見の明をそなえたリストは、傑出した“語り手”でもあった――フランス出身のピアニスト、ダルベルトによるアプローチには、これら二つの側面が巧みに取り入れられている。ダルベルトは《超絶技巧練習曲集》4曲の桁外れなヴィルトゥオジティをやすやすと手なずけ、《オーベルマンの谷》からは深い詩情を引き出している。
カール・ベヒシュタインの名器を用い、パリのルイ・ヴィトン財団オーディトリウムにて録音。
