@@-Blizzard.- Yeah those aren't bends my guy its vibrato and something in the guitar world we call "dynamics" which is something that this dude has and something that John K. didn't which is the reason that he's in their band now. If you don't like the video than dislike and move on. Leave the musical critique to those that have a clue what they're talking about.
I prefer the original version, but this one is impressive because it shows just how great of a guitarist he is - He could easily and trivially play the original like it's nothing, and even adds his own flair to it effortlessly.
He's playing through an EMG 81 here, 100% opposite to what he usually uses (parallel axis, which is passive alnico 5) and he is still sounding like himself. Proof that the tone is in the fingers! What an amazing modern guitar hero.
@@Moodster93 im not bashing. Like it sounds nice. But in my opinion its just a little much. I bet he'd kill like a freestyle thing though. I'd for sure listen and like.
Took this solo to the next level for real

@@joblo3940 nah.

So refreshing to see a guy heavily influenced on 80s hair metal play in a death metal band

My god... Ellis has the tastiest guitar tone ever
Nice cover dude. Maybe TBDM will see it one day and give you a go
Nuckin fasty
No clue how someone gets as good as this dude
Tones of practice from early age. Passion and lil bit of natural talent ;)
Let me tell you, I've practiced my ass off and my technique could never get this tight. We're not all equal that's for sure
You need to grow your hair and have at least three different Jacksons.
He's impact on TBDM reminds of John Sykes on Tygers of Pan Tang, an amazing guitar player that upgrades the whole band in any possible aspect
Tearing shit UP! One of the best metal shredders to about in a while!
He saw the approach and was like yeah these parts can use more vibrato for sure
This album needs to be re-pressed with Ellis' remastered solos. Fucking vibrato for dayyyyyys.
Nah. John is/was a bum
They’re both perfect
Nah he does not lol

How it was meant to be played, the previous guitarists laid the grown work, but brandon nailed it perfectly.
@@SanguineThor i think he meant the "grand wok" chief !
I like that he added his own spin to the solo
I love how you made the cover your own. Sick man
the final boss of guitar players
Fucking sick dude, rock on!
This guy rips!!! Listen to how CREEPY it sounds!!!!! Vicious
I want to see this whole song tho. Why does it end?? 😫😫😫
Phenomenal
Rerecord Nocturnal but please keep the original tone? It would be every TBDM fans' dream come true probably.
Holy fuck that was amazing
Hes pretty good, he should consider joining a band called the black dahlia murder
Nice pinches
Does he have a studio in every room of his house?
That's a cool guitar. Holographic.
Oh my god those dive bombs are hot!!! 😵
No. They are not. He isn't dimebag Darrel
A_CrazyRussian91 Gaming That’s true love me some Dimebag
@@guitarmanplayzloud936 don't get me wrong. Dude has tallent. But is just too much for this solo

What gauge string are you using? 8 or 9?????? Anything 9 or above is absolutely mind blowing to have a consistent vibrato like that 🤟🤟
9, source: his instagram
11-56 for c
@@theryandavey how the hell can he bend like that with 11-56
@@kowxley1793 he’s a monster !! Haha he says 11-56 in C feels about the same as a 9 in E standard
@@theryandavey good to know, maybe I should try it too
I kinda want to hear it note for note but WITH the dive-bombs!!! Fuck that would make me wanna puke!!!! 🤘🤢🤘 hahaha so fucking siiiiiick
Modern Andy Laroque

f1123581321345589144 lol nice
I always called him John Ketamine. But recently heard from Trevor that they squashed their beef and are cool again, so I stopped haha.
HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA
nice but overcoocked
Doesn’t even sound like the solo
Nothing better than the original. Too much flare.
Your an amazing guitar player, but you butchered that solo
Lol. What???
This is my favorite way the solo has been played dude
what the fuck are you even talkin bout are you deaf or smth
