So generous with his information! Once my kids are a bit bigger and I can dedicate more than a few moments at a time to a task without having to run off to tend to them, I’ll have a go at forging some tools and see what happens. Peace!
Sincerely appreciate your kind words and for watching Aaron thank you

Thank you kindly Zed and Sharif for this excellent, clearly explained video on pole lathe turning. It answered my questions so very well and I am looking forward to watching the second demonstration video by Sharif. Wonderfully done and I appreciate you both being so generous with your time and knowledge to teach those of us who wish to learn these greenwood skills. The added links are great too. Thank you.

Hi Michael I sincerely appreciate your kind words and for watching, the second video is already out so hope you find it useful. Take care ~Peace~
Thank you both very enjoyable. I used to make all my stuff when I did wood turning. My lathe ,( not pole ) was made with some bearing blocks and a washing machine motor mounted on a length of scrap metal. I got so much pleasure out of it. As Sherif I made my chisels from 01 and they worked fine. Looking forward to the follow up. Cheers
Thats awesome to hear David, a lot of folk I know did similar where they made their own equipment and got it to work like a charm ~Peace~

I was just looking into starting this great timing,
What brand of tools would you suggest please,
I've put a link in the description to Sharifs site where you can either make your own or buy them already made ~Peace~
You are wonderful
You are very kind thank you ~Peace~
IS there a resource for the design of these tools? I would like to give forging them a try, but I have no idea the specs.
No specific resource that i'm aware of, so best to meet up with someone that has the tool already ~Peace~
I am interested in building a bike pedaled lathe. Does anyone have info/plans for this?
I don't have those plans so maybe a google search will bring something up ~Peace~
I have a electric lathe with lots of to0ls & parts,i want to swap it for this type of lathe.
Both types of lathes are amazing to work with ~Peace~
YES,Zed you are very correct. I have had a taste of them,i made the handle of a peter-pan knife on them, then t0ok a draw knife to shave the blade. I loved them. Well i have a old but brand new motor in the lathe. I really want a out do0r lathe just like 1 of them. I do not have a workshop. So my electric lathe is sitting in a cupboard, waiting for me to swap it lol. Oh when i say old it is in perfect condition.
Awesome craftsmanship
B
Thanks for watching Julian ~Peace~
