this is incredible, i have been listening again and again to all of david's arrangements for 1 month while walking on the streets and it is happening again like before long time with Genesis, every time i listen i like it more and more ,and this is surprising me a lot because i thought that the arrangements done by guddal and mate(genesis for 2 grand pianos) were perfect, but with david creativity and his unique "tarantella' manners on the basses takes me far beyond perfection to the realms of ever recurring beauty! With him the genesis phenomena happens again , i mean chills up and down due to the beautiful unexpected musical surprises.
Thank you for all your hard work and bringing this wonderful Genesis music to our ears. I love them and so grateful for you and Steve Hackett keeping by it alive! 1972-78 were the magic years for Genesis compositions!
It remembers me the saying "it should be impossible, that he didn't knew, so he made it", well impossible is not human, and not forgetting that cinema show was a song made for 5 parts, extraordinary! Thanks
What I really really like about both records is that is the unique richness of the re-interpretation for the transcription to solo piano. It is not just transcription of the parts to piano. It is rewriting and re-interpreting everything from scratch, to render it for piano. That's why the work of David Myers, in my view, is light years above even from re-adaptations of the same pieces made for two grand pianos. His works add art to the original, as supposed to borrow it from them.
What a stunning arrangement! and so well executed... tribute to Tony Banks for amazing peice, I can only imagine he wished he could play that well on a piano! superb.
I cannot think of any composer of piano music that this arrangement is derivative of. It is David Myers' unique style and thoughtful interpretation of the music that makes it so special. Thank you!

Amazing!- I cannot fathom these Genesis Blowhard Purist who fault this fucking AMAZING rendition of Cinema Show! No!- Banks could not play this version! Watch some of the live footage of him playing, and he's hitting "Clams" left and right! This Pianist has combined both Banks' melodies, his own ORIGINAL harmonic concept, AND- Rutherford's bass lines! FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!!! Bravo! My Man! BRAVO!!!
