I was there on Saturday for my 5th home game of the season, 6th game overall including at UCLA. Yeah the environment that has been building at Memorial Stadium starting with Maryland has been amazing to experience in-person and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I never doubted for a moment that we were going to beat Michigan, I'd find myself sitting down during the TV timeouts in that 4th quarter and staring at the bench in front of me and just kept thinking, no way it ends here. This team will find a way to win the game. And that is exactly what they did. Galen don't feel bad, I started getting tired too lol but that last 4th down play to seal it, I don't know that I have ever yelled louder in my entire life. It was a pleasure to be there and see it happen. Go IU!
The one thing from this season that has stood out to me the most really is the defense. As a big defensive guy the seasons pre-Tom Allen (and even some under is tenure) felt designed to drive me nuts with the constant missed tackles and blown coverages. This year's team plays defense in exactly the way you need to win championships: limit big plays, tackle well, and pin your ears back in the red zone. I truly think we can ride this defense to a deep run in the playoffs, but we'll see how they handle OSU in 2 weeks. Go IU! Go IU! Go IU!
Thought about making an iu sports show but I don't know about such a dry topic of discussion! (sarcasm) great show guys! Old Jacob goins (the voice) isn't bad either! Ill stick to music !
If they go 11-1 with a loss to OSU, it all depends what that L looks like. Getting beat decisively in Columbus would give the committee space to leave them out for a 10-2 team(s) that have better wins and better schedule. They've beaten one team with a winning record, so they better have a good showing in Columbus even if they lose. We can't act like beating Michigan gets the "haven't played anyone" monkey off their back. UM has 5 losses and is 126th out of 132 teams offensively.
One bad half. It happens. Mich has some talent in their front 7 and an experienced NFL D coordinator in Wink Martindale. If they didn't mess up the red zone rub route for an Offensive PI then it's 21-3 game over at half
Penn State fan, and the only test left for Indiana is Ohio State who has a somewhat history of playing bad in INDIANA. GOOD LUCK INDIANA, BUT LUCK HAS NOTING TO DO WITH IT PREPARATION DOES.
I know I was looking at Google news this morning and they had some guy on there cannot remember his name. I tried to go back and find it and couldn’t find it but all he could do is knock Indiana down for playing sloppy couldn’t give him any credit, but I don’t know who he is probably the guy that votes against him for the rankings. I’m sure, don’t know if you guys seen that article or not
its 6 sec teams all going 10-2 and then ND ...texas needs to beat texas a&m and tenn needs to beat georgia or iu is in trouble because they dont have any good wins
IU is probably the 8th or 9th best team in the Big 10. No Big 10 team has, ever before, had such a soft schedule, both in and out of the conference. 10-0 and has not beaten a single team with a winning record, let alone ranked. And then IU gets a bye week before the one ranked team they play in season. This season is certainly a big improvement for a long-suffering IU football program, but enough with pretending this is a top 10 team! Play somebody actually good, please!!!
@@kelduck89 Taking Northwestern and Illinois to OT counts for more than beating 2 softies like Charlotte and FIU, both of whom have losing records in weak conferences. What's more interesting to ponder is how many loses IU would have playing Purdue's schedule? Oregon, ND, and OSU, plus the Badgers in Madison. There's 4, at least! And we got PSU this Saturday for our 10th game. So, I figure IU would be 5-5 playing Purdue's schedule, and that's assuming you could beat Illinois in U/C. That's a big if!?!

1st game they had to really fight through adversity. I liked the way the defence and special teams rose up and finished when they needed to.
INDIANA RANKED #5!
Defense wins championships...
Offense sells tickets...
The Hoosiers do both.
Nebraska was ranked 25th in the AP when we beat them by 50.
Coaches poll, not the AP.
The Big Team commish is compelled to earn his pay by strongly promoting any B1G team with an 11-1 record. He has 2 weeks to get on ball with that.
Yes defense and special teams won this game for us. Offense was bound to have a ok day. Go IU. Keep it up.

HOOSIER Game Day Lager is pretty darn good tasting beer. I had my first one at the game and will be stocking my beer frig with it in the future.

IU fan here. Warren was the worst Michigan QB I have ever seen. We won't have that luxury against Ohio State.
2020 Joe Milton would like a word....😊
@@johnjacobs5766 IU will have to have their A game on offense & defense
IU needs improvement against man to man defenses.

I saw a projection last night that had IU hosting a 1st round game against ND! 😂
ND shouldn't be ranked high enough to be playing Indiana. They lost to unranked NIU at home. Complete nonsense that ND is part of the talk.

As for 2025, Oregon, Penn State and Iowa are all very tough places to win on the road.
Great job guys
Which starters did we lose to injury during the game yesterday and which ones will not be available against Ohio State?
If we beat OSU, we clinch a title game berth. We would have the tie breaker w PSU even if we lose to Purdue.
That's a big if.
When IU beats Ohio St that will close the door on power rankings.
❤❤❤❤

Ohio state lose like ohio state did is a safe in.
Indiana has not beaten a team over .500.
Nebraska is 5 and 4
Please stop.

You should worry about beating someone not named Indiana State.
@@kelduck89 Fair enough -- although we would have already beat somebody other than ISU if we had your schedule!
@ Maybe Western Illinois. You’re not beating Charlotte or FIU.
